This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Has anyone mentioned the new Spider-Gwen - Shadow Clones
mini yet?
Oh jeez. Really milking this Alternate Gwen concept.
There already was a Goblin Gwen for crying out loud, now there’s a Sinister Six of her?
Has she even got back at her version of Sue and Johnny?

"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"I'm pretty lenient on a lot of comic book BS, but even I admit "Gwen Stacy supervillain variants" is a bit overkill. Silver lining, the artist is Kei Zama, and their work on Transformers is S+++!
I think someone said that that got resolved off-panel, but I'm not sure? Side note, man, writers these days really love resolving plot lines off-panel, don't they?

Fuck it, as far as I'm concerned, Doctor Doom escaped from hell, killed those versions of Sue and Johnny, and conquered Spider-Gwen's universe.
It's not like we'll ever see that universe again anyway.
Hell if I know. All I know is she’s back in her own universe in that book like it ain’t even a thing
“At some point, Gwen and MJ returned to Earth-65 and Gwen resumed her previous status quo of superheroing and attending university in Earth-616, annoying MJ”
All I can find on marvel wiki
The evil sue storm page doesn’t even have any events after the Storms exiled Gwen

Forever liveblogging the AvengersDamn they really don't have any idea what to do with the character after the whole "college in 616 earth" failed.
It's kinda funny really. She's a popular character so they'll keep giving her stuff but they have no idea what.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Gold Gobin#1
We follow a day in the life of Norman a few hours removed from rescuing Peter from the Hobgoblins. The public know who he is due to an expose in the paper, Norman's a little annoyed he's been given the Gold Goblin nickname. After a chat with Peter, Norman spends time with Normie, who's playing Baseball
Normie's whacks of the bat give Norman PTSD over his murder of Gwen. Norman also remembers several other wrongdoings, such as getting Flash Thompson drunk in Paul Jenkin's run, capturing Aunt May while she was in a coma (1990s Clone Saga) and turning Carlie into 'Monster' during Superior. Gwen herself continues to haunt Norman. Eventually Norman battles a new Jack O'Lantern and defeats him, and signs an autograph for some kids
So I came across this youtube dub of a random fan-comic and wanted to put it up here:
This seems like something the younger and angrier Peter of the early Lee-Ditko days would do. As for how I feel about it, my current less than stellar feelings towards Cops makes me like it, but I do feel like the dude needed to be a bit more of an asshole...yeah. I know. He's a cop and ACAB, but we don't actually know what the dude he was ticketing was doing. For all we know, he parked in a handicapped zone or something and deserved to be ticketed.
One Strip! One Strip!
It says at the start: loitering. The guy was getting a ticket for loitering. Which is, indeed, bullshit.
Huh. I was under the impression he was just adding loitering to an earlier change.
Ok. Good work Spidey.
One Strip! One Strip!Guys like Norman and Wilson would just use Spider-Man illegally entering and beating them up as a way to garner sympathy and PR points with the public.
Gobby actually did this in the lead up to Identity Crisis.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"We do actually see him use his wealth back in the old days, besides using it to fund his Goblin hobby, which can't be cheap considering all the tech he uses, he's also shown outright disguising himself and paying some thugs to attack Spider-Man in the final issue of the Lee-Ditko run.
Not as the Goblin mind you, but we are actually shown Norman putting on a disguise and using his money.
And if you really want to be technical, Norman is portrayed as an evil businessman hiring supervillains to kill Spider-Man in Untold Tales which were written before the Clone Saga happened.

"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"

In the aftermath of DARK WEB, prepare to learn the truth behind one of the biggest mystery in recent Spider-Man memory! What happened all those months ago between Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson? You will be amazed!
Took them long enough. I still think they should've fed us hints throughout the run, but what do I know about writing Spider-Man apparently?
If The Lost Hunt ends up being significant to this run, maybe the reveal might have been Peter tried to bring back his daughter...except it didn't work because he doesn't really remember the Mephisto deal? And MJ does know the deal, but has been cursed to not be able to just tell Peter?
I guess that's what happens when your books sell like hotcakes regardless of what social media says about its quality.
