This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Season 1 of ‘SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN’ is coming to Disney+ next week.
I know its a pipe dream, but if this ends up doing really well then maybe...
Spectacular Spider-Man: my favorite harem anime.
The very best, like no one ever was. Check out my Spider-Man fanfic here! [1]
There's a fan made continuation of it currently in the works, they're starting big with an animated movie called "Geography 101" and then will spin out into a series, I'm part of their discord (which is a great community that does talk about comics, movies, life in general etc, which always helps when there's no news of the project for months)
Deadly Neighborhood Spider-Man is out, and it's an interesting start.
Peter in California, slipping into dreams and visions. And the Demon Bear, of New Mutants fame, starting to make its presence felt.
I don't think I know the writers from anything else, and I have no idea how many of the supporting characters are old Spider-Man cast, but not a bad beginning.
Edit: So, one of the writers is Taboo of The Black Eyed Peas. Unexpected. At least for me, as I didn't catch the pre-release publicity.

Reminds me of when Marvel Comics #1000 (I think) listed one story's writer as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and I thought, "Surely not that Kareem Abdul-Jabbar," but sure enough, it was him, the NBA's all-time scoring leader.
That was pretty much my exact response to noticing the name "Joss Whedon" in the credits of Toy Story 1 for the first time. I was so sure it had to be some other guy with that name.
Nope, it was that Joss Whedon, to my surprise.

Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks Marathon
A variant on that was the realisation that, yes, the Neil Tennant who edited Marvel UK (Captain Britain, Spider-Man international reprints etc.) many years ago was this guy.
He gave up the day job when the side-project turned out quite well.
Hmm, we were led to assume The Lost Hunt took place in a pre-OMD 616, but this blog comment
from JMD indicates they may have walked back on it, he's not taking any post-Clone Saga or Post-OMD developments into consideration as he writes the series, someone asked him if it was a prequel of sorts to Spider-Girl, and De Matties conceded it might as well be.

I was reading a discussion about Daredevil's involvement in capturing the Sin-Eater and I was wondering if Matt Murdock and Eddie Brock have ever interacted. They're both Catholics and have opposite relationships with Spider-Man, initially at least.
As I recall, there was a story where Venom put Spidey on trial and Daredevil was the defending lawyer.
And in the story, Matt Murdock was actually the defending attorney for Eddie Brock despite Peter's protests. Something about a mistrial.

"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"
Works' Pages Are a Free Launch, so in theory you can - as long as there are enough tropes to justify it - but that's a pretty short arc for a single works page.
There are certainly examples of pages for shorter stories and single issues, but I'd wonder whether it really needs its own page rather than tropes on an existing Spider-Man page?
Okay. You really have to wonder.
How is it that whoever is running the editorial side of Spider-Man evidently doesn't have a panic attack after reading stuff like this?
If I was in their shoes, I would go catatonic, slam into a Thousand-Yard Stare, and find some way to course-correct after reading stuff like that tweet. I mean, seriously, do the editorial team just shut off social media altogether? Because there's no way they don't know that we're hating everything in this run of ASM.
What are the sales like?
Because they won’t give a shit what people are saying if the book sells well. And there might still be that courting controversy thing from when Slott was the Spider-Writer

Who's "we"? I've been enjoying everything since Spencer left. I thought Beyond was cool and I'm liking the Wells run. I thought the initial arc with Tombstone was decent. I'm intrigued to see where the whole thing goes, because there's definitely more to be revealed regarding MJ and whatever big explosion Peter caused.

I was really hoping that the whole "giving Doc Ock's fiance aids" thing would have been quietly ignored. It might have been the worst twist of all time, honestly.
