This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Both! He re-married after Felicia died it was very random

The only villainess I can recall him hooking up with is Black Cat. So fewer than Bruce, I guess.
October is 'Mephisto Month' at Marvel and their official website has an article about him
with some very interesting clarifications about his recent impact on the Spider-Man comics
Marvel's official stance is that Spencer's run ended the One More Day Saga, that Peter's battle with the Kindred freed his soul along with Harrys'. Also, it was 100% confirmed Peter and MJ's daughter will defeat Mephisto if she is born
Interesting 'leak' from Slott's first Spider-Man issue on 4chan. I don't know if I 100% believe it, but it fits Slott's M.O of sabotaging other people's comic runs. He did the same to Hickman and Zdarsky when they developed Franklyn Richards.
The leak is that Paul is killed in a 'weird', 'out of nowhere' and 'pretty funny' way

They invented a Mephisto problem in the same issue they resolved it.
Like putting Mephisto into the lore of the Osborns just drags down a very character driven tragedy because Satan owned their family or some shit.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"Could always be a Fake Out Death, involving robots or shapeshifters or a Lotus-Eater Machine.
Ok, it turns out that the 'leak' was false, but there are legit ones out there now for Slott's book.
Seems the goal is to 'Normalise' all the Spiders by cutting them off from the web of life, this is what happens to Jessica Drew when she's stabbed by Noir. Also, Mayday Parker is back, but, like Annie, she's been converted into one of Shathra's spider-wasp minions along with Ghost Spider and Spider-Punk
Wait a minute.
Wasn't the whole Spider-Totem thing criticized as being needlessly convoluted and supernatural-based when Spider-Man has been pretty much science-based? Like, not even Into the Spider-Verse said jack about totems. So...I'm kinda thinking this might be good?

The beauty of saying "oh yeah, X character is totally prophesied to do Y canon destroying thing in the far future" is that you never actually have to write it. It's the far future - you can just talk about it and then ignore it forever, save for maybe a special oneshot future comic that you then retcon out some other way.

I think it's pointless. The totem stuff isn't being rendered non-canon, it will still be part of continuity, it's just making the spiders lose their current connection - and who knows if that will even stick or they'll bring it back at some time?
But it doesn't really change anything, IMO, because it's not like the totem stuff was super present until they decided to bring it back for this event.
Spider-Man#1
Norman calls Peter, he wants him to run an errand, Peter wonders if he's being tracked by Osborn but Norman simply deduced his route from his sleeping pattern and knowing his precise living location. Peter thwarts a robbery and beats up baddies while humming his theme song. He takes autographs from the gathering crowd. Shatrha and her Nestling (Annie) send spider-wasps through a portal and they attack the public.
Morlun arrives through a portal and Peter freaks out, he battles Morlun but his Oscorp suit gets trashed. Morlun is here to help apparently. The wasps sting Peter. Miles, Cindy and Jessica arrive, as does Spider-Noir, and help out. Miles is also stung. Noir, already infected by Shathra, stabs Jessica with a knife that severs her from the web of life. Jessica dissolves, her last thoughts are of her son Gerry. Noir's allies arrive, Ghost Spider, Spider-Punk, and Mayday Parker, all of whom are infected and are now enemies of the Spiders.

For real, I'll bet folks were ecstatic that Into the Spider-Verse opted to have Kingpin as the Big Bad over Morlun, who's basically, what? A sucky interdimensional Dracula?
