This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

He's from Edge of Spider-Verse #4 (2022), as a side character in Spider-Ham's story. Peter Porker is in a bit of a grim and gritty slump due to his fourth wall-breaking powers, and Pete helps him regain the fun in the job by telling jokes to comfort a little girl who's scared being rescued in a fire. The entire issue is really fun and sweet.

The Protomen enhanced my life.A little more on the overall mystery of ASM in today's issue
Peter reveals he lost a loved one and tried to bring them back with Norman's help, everyone he talked to didn't agree with what he wanted to do, and ultimately what Norman did for him didn't work
Lowe in the letters page also makes reference to Kindred and tells readers to expect more of Mysterio and MJ
If any of you were wondering what that sound is, that would be me groaning.

To be fair, they never say who he tried to bring back. Gwen is up there in terms of choices, but it could be anyone.
One Strip! One Strip! He better not had tried to revive Ben. It's bad enough Bucky and Jason came back. The phrase used to be Only Bucky, Jason Todd and Uncle Ben stayed dead until those first two idiots messed things up. If Ben comes back, there who really does stay dead?
One Strip! One Strip! He did meet the real Gwen
but it seems to be at a later point in her personal timeline, as she doesn't freak out over him being Spider-Man.
Peter said he tried everything to 'get HER back' so definitely not Harry or Uncle Ben, although I actually think it would have made sense to ask Norman for help in Bringing back Harry seeing as Zeb started his current stint on Spidey with Peter grieving Harry's recent death from Spencer's climax.
Peter getting a chance to meet Gwen again at the end of this issue totally invalidates the conversation in 'Clone Conspiracy' as Gwen clearly doesn't remember what happened back then and notes that Peter looks older, but she would have known this from her last resurrection under Slott, which was supposed to be legit due to having the same soul

Lately I've been dancing around the possibility that MJ has become some kind of agent or avatar of sorts for Mephisto, which could explain why she keeps pushing Peter away, but that would clash with the Nick Spencer run, wouldn't it?
Actually, if by some twist of fate, Cebulski be damned, we get a proper sequel to One More Day, I would not be opposed to an arc welding scenario in which Mephisto, having become bored with the Avengers and taking advantage of Doctor Strange's death, has resorted to come back to his favorite toy: Peter. And on the even slimmer chance the Spider-Marriage comes back, Mephisto being defeated by Peter ends up getting kicked out of his Council of Red by his other variants.
It's supposed to be billed as Kraven's origin story, but I was always found it very suspect that Marvel were publishing a story that was firmly pro-marriage after all the years they spent avoiding any and all reference to it. Explaining whatever Peter did as being connected to his daughter wouldn't be expected, but a lot of restrictions Marvel imposed upon themselves are being loosened
I think for the most part, it's either Gwen or MJ for alternate wives where Peter is concerned.
One Strip! One Strip!

Is Pete Spiderman
◊ (no hyphen) a reference to anyone in particular? It feels like one but I'm not up on home improvement type stuff.
I love his villains
◊ too.
