This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

You know that incorrect quote about the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result?
Also i kind of hate to say it but outside of Harry being dead, this first issue of Beyond almost feels like you can hop from Slott's run over to this. Because Ben becoming Spider-Man is consequence of the fallout from Slott's run, not Spencer's. lol

Hah.
So, I guess Spencer is on the ever growing list of writers who've burnt all bridges with the fans and will never be trusted to put out something good ever again?
In hindsight, it might have been a mistake to not be straight that they would never retcon OMD.
Sure, we got rid of Sins Past, but that bait and switch still enraged people it would seem.
One Strip! One Strip!Shame because his Spidey run was great.
When it wasn't dealing with Kindred and Mephisto.
Even the Sins Past isn't much of a net positive since it's low fruit, the story of the retcon is nonsense, and Spider-Man's lore got even more violently fisted by Mephisto.
Seriously, the Osborns are pawns of Satan. That's just a bit on the nose.

"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"![]()
It was, until he failed the landing.
Look how Game of thrones went from being one of the most celebrated pieces of TV to barely being mentioned outside of ridicule after season 8.
Public opinion is a fickle thing.
Still, I think Spencer's run is better than Slott in total.

"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"I was pleased with the whole of Spencer's run to be honest, I did'nt mind the ending at all, and it's the first time a whole Spidey era has ended on a positive note since 1999's "The Final Chapter", with no Downer Ending for Peter and MJ.
People are mad now, but in time they'll calm down and the run will age very well.

Don't know, but I promise I wasn't trying to criticize any posters. I was trying to make light of how the attack that put Peter out of commission was evidently orchestrated by the Beyond Corporation. I am sorry if it sounded like I was criticizing any posters.

Are they the same ones that tortured Monica Rambeau by putting her in Nextwave?
