This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules - tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Then start with Nick Spencer's Amazing Spider-Man #1. Pretty much the only thing you need to know is that Doc Ock took over Spider-Man's body a few years ago and completed his doctorate for him.

The Spider-Man Human Torch miniseries is great too, though I'm blanking on how 'new' that is.
The Protomen enhanced my life.ASM#8
The Thieves Guild steal all of the Avengers weapons...and even Ghost Rider's ride and Cyclops' Optic visor. Meanwhile, we learn Mary Jane quit working for Stark after he became negligent with her pay, so they're not on good terms. Felicia came back at the end and attacked Peter

Speaking of quips, Superior Spider-Man (Otto) said to PS 4 Spider-Man (Peter) "Somewhere, in the infinite multiverse, you must have a counterpart who doesn't behave like a comedian on open microphone night. Clearly, this is not that world"
Well, is there such a world? Is there an alternate version of Peter who is The Stoic?
Ultimate Secret WarsWait, if they stole the Avengers weapons, how would they steal Cyclops' visor? Cyclops was never a member of the Avengers. He was a member of the Champions, sure, but not currently. And how the hell did they steal Ghost Rider's car? It's literally possessed by a ghost. It can friggin' drive itself.
A Tieves Guild this competent sounds fake.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersDoes Cyclops' visor have another use beyond containing his eye beams?
Wake me up at your own risk.Think there might have been a continuity snafu in the Spider-Girls mini-series
RYV Peter apparently has never faced the Inheritors before...but that can't be right because he made his debut in a short story during Spider-Verse...in a fight with the Inheritors
Edited by Zarius on Oct 26th 2018 at 12:32:35 PM
RYV Peter didn't make his debut in Spider-Verse, he made in in Secret Wars, though.
Re: ASM #8. So I guess Felicia’s face turn didn’t last. Or is this a fake out?
Perhaps it's not a thing of good and evil, but just an annoying ex who sees her former boyfriend so happy with his current girlfriend, and goes in a berserk rage. Because, as they say, not even Mephisto's realm has a fury like a Woman Scorned.
Spider-Gwen: Ghost Spider #1 has been released. It ties some things from the previous run, and then jumps to the Spider-Geddon tie-in. As you may have seen in SG #2, Gwen is now lost in an alternate earth, without her watch. She does not know where to find Reed Richards or Tony Stark, or if they even exist there. She goes to Oscorp, which does exist, and find a female Green Goblin, and Peter Parker.
She has not used the "Ghost-Spider" name in-story so far.
Ultimate Secret WarsYou're misremembering, RYV Peter DID make his debut in Spider-Verse. It was a story called "The Little Things", it's even collected in the trade of Slott's stint on RYV. Peter should remember fighting the Inheritors, and MJ should have also brought up how she was recruited for Venomverse.

Damn that Superboy prime and his punching
Forever liveblogging the AvengersThis was discussed on CBR also, one user proposed that, because Spider-Verse took place before Secret Wars and the incursions nerfing the multi-verse, people's memories of everything afterwards were left significantly jumbled, so that would explain why RYV Peter can't remember...one hole in that of course is that Venomverse, where MJ took part in back when she had the venom symbiote towards the end of the "Kid Annie" portion of the book, took place after Secret Wars.
So even if SW hadn't happened, Peter should know about the multiverse since his wife was caught up in it.

Or it could lead to a marital discussion. "What? You took part in an interdimensional fight, and you never told me that?"
Ultimate Secret WarsCould always take a page out of Lois Lane
"I was going to tell you, but I'm writing a book about it, no peeking"

Too bad no breakdancing Spider-Man.
Wake me up at your own risk.Yes
The Battleworlds GN edition of RYV had that so it’s safe to say it’s that Peter Parker
So, out of all the Alternate Universe Spiders, who would you give an ongoing series?
Or do you have an idea of your own version?
Wake me up at your own risk.I’d read a series about Sp//der.
The whole Evangelion-esque Mecha-series is a pretty bitchin concept.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Ultimate Spider-Woman never got a comic book for her own, and it would allow Marvel to explore transgender stuff.
Ultimate Secret WarsAs fascinating as that would be, I don't know if Ultimate Jessica really qualifies. Was she ever presented as feeling like a guy in a woman's body, or was she just a lesbian, except for when Ultimate Marvel randomly had her be attracted to guys as well because of course. But that would mean that Ultimate Peter was also bisexual, except that he never seemed to show any interest in guys and, unless I'm mistaken, found the idea gross.
My various fanfics.
I kinda just want to hit the ground running. I havent read Spiderman since Ultimate
