This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Spider-Gwen should be enough for those who want Gwen Stacy in modern comics. That, or bring back Ultimate Spider-Man, as Gwen was an important secondary character.
Ultimate Secret Wars![]()
It's just... too good. I love his design, looking like a goddamn hellspawn while still being recognizable as both a Goblin and a Carnage. Way more menacing than that 90s piece of shit Demogoblin. I love the concept of giving the symbiote to Norman Osborn, it's just a match made in heaven. Carnage always had a problem of his host being flatter than a well-maintained road, and this solves it beautifully... and just the simple fear and menace factor that is still built up well in the issues... the way Norman can control Carnage by actually getting along with it...
Aaaaaaaaaah.
I can't.
It's too much.
Too much good.
I can't.
Slott will mess this up somehow.
I know he will.
But I can't stop being hype.
Why must I be cursed with such love for all things goblin...
Although I'm only going from Scans Daily right now, so maybe it's diffeent in comic, but have a quibble based on that:
So, while I'm not really a fan of gore/sadism, the impression i get is that as of right now, Norman is only threatening to kill for the most part, and the few murders he's done have been pretty clean (like when he killed his employees, despite the dialogue and sound effects, there bodies seem to be intact).
Which kind of bugs me, because this is the psychopathic Norman Osborn bonded with another psychopath. He shouldn't just be threatening terrible bloodshed.
I do like the premise and illustration. And I did especially like Norman Playing Possum.
God Pete switch it up
We have Batman going around in a zebra suit sometimes and you're still switching between the red blue and black white every couple years
Forever liveblogging the AvengersMore pics have emerged of Nick Spencer's first issue
...they contain what appears to be a flashback to the Sensational Spider-Man annual, one of the last marriage era stories with Peter and MJ.
This further raises my suspicions that Slott's run will end with them at least regaining their memory of the deal. Very much less sure they'll get back together, though. It would actually be very in-character for Slott to give them their memories back but actually have that drive them further apart; nothing's a moment-killer like "I sold you to the Devil."
