1)The OP of this thread has some of them.
2)Believe it or not Archers have actually been nerfed from the original TO.
3)It's not as big a deal as you think, if you're like me(which might not necessarily hold true) you probably won't need to change classes too often.
4)There's no real "karma" in this game since there are no good or evil actions, while some actions are a darker shade of gray than others all actions will have good and bad implications for Denam as a character. That said you'll probably end up on the Chaos path, and no there's no exclusive character as broken as Thunder God Cid in FFT.

Umbran Climax◊Gah! I can never make up my mind. Those 10 skill slots, they fill up too fast.
So what are everyone's favorites skills for front liners and mages?
I'm beginning to suspect Fortify and Strengthen. I just don't see big gains in defense and offense with those. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?
I'm leaning heavy towards skills that have a quantifiable and immediate impact. Speedstep, Jump, Knockback, stuff you can see working.
And defensive skills are a real puzzle. What's better, Sidestep or Deflect? Parry or Dodge? Resistance or Spellward?
What are your opinions? I must know!
I find skills easiest to choose for archers, since you can't really lose, what with the death from above and the range and the double shot and whatnot.
What versions of the Augments are you using?
Strengthen III is a pretty huge leap over the earlier forms.
Umbran Climax◊^I've usually got Anatomy for all the fighting units, and the magic casters have matching Augment skills for the magic they use, which is usually Dark or Light. I have either Deflect or Parry on the fighting units, except for the archers.
Deflect and Parry seem to be separate "rolls" than the standard Miss and Block evades the characters do with whatever they have in hand, so I think it might be worth doubling up on Deflect and Sidestep as an example, if you want that unit to never be hit by arrows.
Then again, I'm not sure if Sidestep, Dodge, or Resistance type skills are affected by stat caps later on. Takes forever to level up the ranks, rank 1 is nearly useless, so it's tempting to avoid those skills altogether. I never bother placing Augment anything on the clerics.
For any physical attackers, I use Strengthen, and then if there's room, they get either Fortify or Spell Ward.
I can say with confidence that Truestrike and Trueflight and magic accuracy boosters do work. I can see the improvement in accuracy right away, usually up to 100%. Trueflight gets rid of weather lowering an archer's accuracy. So far Trueflight I and Truestrike 1 are enough, even in chapter 4.
This is kinda embarrasing, but . . .
It took me until Chapter 4 till I learned that Archers can shoot outside their attack range. Granted, this is the only game I played where you can do this, but still. . .
Also, is recruiting Cressida as annoying to anyone else as it is to me? Building up my Chaos Frame is slow and if it weren't for my strategy guide I would have never guessed it.

"What's out there? What's waiting for me?"Yeah, doing the "death march" is a pain in the ass, but Cress is worth it for the Palace of the Dead. Cutting a properly leveled Cress loose in there is like handing Fiona Glenanne C4.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 11171. How do you raise loyalty? Cerya is suddenly "concerned about my methods" and I'd rather not lose my Valkyrie.
2. Can you get hearts back? I'm unsure how, but Catiua is down to one damn heart.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117^I don't know about hearts. I think once they're gone, you have to raise them from the dead and resurrect them with something. Or use a Silver coin thing to scavenge their skills for other units to use. Edit: wait. It seems an item called Elixir brings back one heart. Though I haven't been able to verify that as truth, so take it as hearsay.
For loyalty, well, there's collecting The Lovers and The Fool cards when they drop on the battle field. But the best way is to have that disloyal unit gain a rank on some skill. Mostly people like to switch to a ninja and just double-attack with daggers on easy random battles until the rank of Daggers weapon skill increases.

An elixir can restore one heart to a non-permadead unit. They're absurdly rare though, I think got one from the Pirate Graveyard, but I don't remember how.
It's possible you can craft one.
Umbran Climax◊I'll see if they can be crafted once I get to a shop. (San Brosa Ruins were giving me trouble, so I decided to go through the Pot D again.)
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117It's got quite a lot of info for me to absorb. It's somewhat overwhelming, actually. Been reading through the Warren Report for the past hour trying to learn everything.
Speaking of the Warren Report, I <3 the Music Player. Composer/Arranger credits, track length, song location, arranger comments...HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG
.........and Cerya finally said "Fuck this" and deserted. *pouts* Least she didn't leave with her equipment.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117![]()
I was trying to raise her "Augment Light" skill, but she bailed on me.

Were you using your own units to attack her with light or something?
Attacking your own units is generally a no-no if you want them to stay loyal.
What?
No, I just started using her as a caster without changing her class. Not sure what set her off; I first got the message going through the San Brosa Ruins. I was attacking with Spiritsurge, healing as best I can, but it wasn't enough. :(
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117The rate of lost units is relative to how bad you are at keeping their loyalty.

Maybe you were killing a bunch of Bakram, or she got KO'd too much?
Looking at loyalty for my entire team, I'm on bad terms with Canopus(defying me openly in front of others), Lindl(not discontent, but won't talk against those that are), and Catiua(can't look me in the eye(my sis is pissed at me?)). Only one Bakram in that group. Cerya never lost a heart, Cati's still down to one. Not sure what ticked Cerya off.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117Necro'ing to say I really love this game. It's fantastic. Currently on the Chaos path of chapter 3.

I just started to really get into this and I have a few observations to make:
1. I've tried to find a list of gameplay changes from SNES to PSP, but I can't. Does ne even exist on the internet?
2. I've found archers are just as horribly overpowered as everyone says. I used to complain about them being near-useless in Final Fantasy Tactics, but now I can see why they did that.
3. Using a consumable item just to change classes is annoying.
4. When I play a karma system game I just choose whatever I think is most moral, with little regard to how this affects gameplay. I just hope the different recruitable characters won't affect difficulty too much.
Of course, I'm sure nothing what I said is particularly new. I just wanted to get a response from a veteran of the game.
