We've had something like 20 inches in eastern PA over the last week, with six more tonight plus a cap of freezing rain. Should make driving tomorrow very interesting.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"One of my teachers said there were accidents all over the place. So far, my area only got sleet, but I bet snow will come in soon and ice will start forming...
...Crippling the infrastructure of the multi-county area, stalling the local ecomany. Combined with strong winds, reletive anarchy will appear, causing riots and a military takeover...
Sorry, had to put that in.
Down in the Southeast, we got snowed in for nearly a week earlier this month. There's actually wasn't that much snow, but since it's the south, we don't have any snowplows or other preparations.

Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayNortheastern Colorado. It was 65°F here Saturday. It's now 13°F and falling. It's expected to get to below zero even in parts of the state that are normally the warmest. The mountains are hogging all the snow and the plains are only getting an inch or so... so far.

Right now they're saying possibly 2 inches tonight, 1 to 3 more tomorrow during then 10 to 14 total accumulation over Tuesday night. But I checked three different weather sites, and each of then draw the predicted "worst of the storm" tracks differently (one puts us in the range of 9-11 inches, one in the 10 to 14 range and one in the 15 to 21 inches range), I'm going to simply deal with it if and when it gets here.

It's a snow party, yay! Maybe I shall create a thread in the Just for Fun section.
Let me bring up the "measurements" for my area: Blizzard Warning all over. Freezing drizzle mixed with sleet. Lows in the mid 20s. Tomorrow: Freezing rain changing to sleet then to snow during the day and continuing overnight. Snow will be heavy at times and may be accompanied by thunder. Highs near 27. Metro snow and sleet accumulations of 4 to 10" with areas north and west getting 10-18" accumulations by Wednesday morning.
Wow, four to ten inches. But that's puny compared to some of your measure- numbers.
The consensus here at my school near Boston is that we're gonna get whomped tomorrow. I suppose if that's what's happening, then that's what's happening.

I'm pretty sure the university will cancel some or all classes...do any New England tropers here think I'm right?

I don't know if this is a big enough issue, but I heard and read that at least a third of the United States is being affected by a huge snowstorm. My school had an early dismissal because the roads were icing up. Also, flights are being cancelled at the local airport.
So, do you think you're going to be snowed in?
