But hey, if it draws attention away from the infiltrator and co., i'm good.

We need more darkside teams doing flash points.

I've only seen two flashpoints, one for each side.

However, I am stuck because I need to hear from my friends what side they want to play so I can guild up with them.

The trooper is the only reason I'd consider going LS; BH and sith warrior for me; the only think i'm worried about is the number of people with the OMG, i'm a Sith KILL THEM ALL!!! mentality.

It really doesn't matter because classes have unique skills that are totally out of left field.

By the way, the Merc advanced class does nothing for flamethrower skills, so if you want to be a guy who loves to roast and toast his enemies, go with the Powertech.

I'm sorry, I can't trust the word of a corporate shill.

Ha....ok, seriously now; anyone catch the name of that ability where the BH uses the flamethrower and spins around?

Drew Karpyshyn is penning a tie-in novel that will tell just what happened to Revan after the events of Knights Of The Old Republic.

Bioware's got waaaaaaayy to much stuff going on right now to start even thinking about making another KOTOR. The Old Republic is them trying MMO-style cooperative gameplay, while still servicing the people who want another KOTOR. Otherwise, we'll have to wait for Dragon Age III, Mass Effect 3, and then maybe KOTOR 3 if we're lucky.

I can't really decide whether or not to pick a trooper or a Jedi.

Did anyone else read the section about companions? From the sound of it you're pretty much playing KOTOR; just not sure how the other million players fit into it.

[up]My point exactly. You're playing Kot OR with the ability to recruit other players as team members. The mere fact that your companions are FIXED for each class - with a fixed name, face, race, sex, story and associated questlines being the same for EVERY Smuggler or Trooper or Sith Whatchamacallit - is proof enough =)

So if two different groups are playing the same quest but want to solve it different ways...would that lead to a shootout or something?

It selects randomly from the party which one is picked, but you receive points according to which choice you tried to pick. It's probably a good idea to coordinate which option you're going for beforehand to avoid stuff like this.

Just to clarify I am PSYCHED for TOR...its the novel I was booing. Seems to me that they are recycling what they had written for KOTOR 3 as a cruddy novel, which is depressing.

You what i really can't stand? The Mandalorian fanboys. From by background I can respect their tactics and mentality; but that's about it. When you've got dudes harping about their code or jizzing over Boba Fett...shit gets old.

I liked Canderous and his gang in KOTOR 2, but I can't stand the rest. Boba Fett's a badass, but I ignore the expanded universe outside of the KOTOR games, so I consider him to be nothing more than a human in cool armor.
