I think that falls under the "witty", "snarky" aspect of our charter. Just don't get too crazy with it.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Yeah I want to put that in Daimos to say that "Daimos > Gurren Lagann"... and well his voice actor is Kenshiro :P
If it flows well in whatever context it's in, that's fine. (for example, "blah blah many people compare the show with Gurren Lagann, but they still manage to kick ass without relying on anti-logic generators.") But don't just throw it in randomly (eg, "blah blah and that's why this show is better than Gurren Lagann").

Really from Jupiter, but not an alien. You realize that you don't have to pot hole the trope in the first place. The purpose of pot holes is to allow people to look up other tropes without interrupting the flow of the text. Take That! is very broad and generic trope to begin with and wasn't really meant to be used as troper-speak. The tropes that get used as troper-speak more than In-Universe examples tend to cause problems (ie I Am Not Making This Up).

For example, say I'd make an entry in Daimos...
Bad Ass: Kazuya. The fact that his mecha isn't equipped with engines that can defy logic, but with rather simple armaments which rely on his martial arts skills, and still win against his foes, is a testament.
