Also, as I said, she's more than likely behind her. Does he have eyes in the back of her head? Although, she might have seen him in her peripheral vision while swinging futilely at Dante.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Let's just say that with this sort of thing happening, there will be people standing around looking. (if there are any left alive)
The assassins, particularly experienced assassins, have an ability to blend into crowds well enough that unless you are specifically looking for them they are likely to be missed, just because they are usually very unremarkable looking. There are exceptions of course =P
I hate Jarl so much now. Really, in ways, he's worse than ever villain seen so far. Of course, that could just be because Nick can't write a villain. Hard to say right now.
Either way, I had originally planned for Dante meeting the party to be an attempt at a Crowning Moment of Funny and to display the "crazy" part of Crazy Awesome. However, Jarl being the King of all JerkAsses ruined that. Oh well, I'll have to try it later I suppose. Also, once he can get him alone, Sakkaku is going to make a suggestion about Jarl.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Well yeah. I made Jarl as a counterpoint to everyone else: he's a big, mundane fighter with a sword that is only technically special. He is filled with hate and rage, and likes to bring people down to reality. But on the other hand, he's a teacher because he wants to make sure that people learn that reality's far more interesting than you think.
Still, picking a fight with Dante, who is quite possibly the strongest party member (or at least on Raize's level) at the moment thanks to the magical enhancements is not a wise move. It's not like he knew that though.
For future reference:
Rosey = Keira
Goldilocks = Raize (due to his armor)
Violet = Eyes (due to his, well, eyes)
Illusion = Sakkaku (due to his name)
Jerkass = Jarl
He'll make up nicknames for the others as I think of them.
Also, Taco, you'll like the fact that I portray my "ninjas" realistically (with the exception when magic is involved).

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!You will, I just haven't thought of one yet.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!The mere fact that you said Dante is the strongest party member is enough reason for me to conspire to kill him. RP characters do not work that way. Simply trying to overpower the rest of the party makes you a Munchkin.
Originally, he was going to stay away from the party and probably still will for the most part. Other than that, he'll be on his own. Besides, he'll eventually become a villain for a time (against his will) and that's with his enchantments. Without, he's a good swordsman but not the best.
Really, I ran all this by Nick first. Also; Taysa, Sakkaku, probably Raize, and Zoukotsu could kick his ass thanks to their magic. Also, the party will catch up eventually.
Also, please stop attaching names to me. I know what's what, I've been in many RPs, and I've seen and done a heck of a lot worse.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Would my Gaille's magic resistance help?
Thank you for curing me of my ridiculous obsession with love!I actually didn't know she had that. Since his charms only effect himself though, no not really.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Yeah, her issues with her brother's magic means she specifically changed to resist it. Her sword is antimagic too.
Thank you for curing me of my ridiculous obsession with love!If her sword his one of his charms, it would drain it of mana and require the usual hour charge up before he could use it.
Also, Jarl is still a Jerkass but will have trouble proving that Sakkaku is an assassin. Really, it sucks he's a PC and thus can't be killed without Taco's permission. Realistically, the Guild would send someone to kill him while Sakkaku is talking to Raize or Gaille or someone in order to establish an airtight alibi.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I think the commercial for that World Of Warcraft expansion pronounced it "litch" which is why I spelled it that way. Really, Jarl might be making the exact same sounds.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Glad I remembered my army was still there, just sort of sitting around, waiting for me to tell them "It's okay. The town needs to be burned. Just... go about your business. Pay no attention to the screams of agony..."
Why do others fear the dark? The darkness is kind. You don't see your end coming, and don't have to know until it's happened.(in pirate accent) "All right, boys! It's time ta Rape, Pillage, and Burn! Preferably in that order! If you don't do it in that order, you will be sacked!"

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Eventually, after Dante and Keira have become Fire-Forged Friends, Dante will lose all three of his charms. When that happens, he will get his ass kicked in the next battle (due to a very unrefined and sloppy fighting style) and will have his ego deflated.
With Dragon's permission, Dante will then go to Keira (who seems to have knight training and even if she doesn't is a better swordsman than Dante) and humbly request she train him. After his training (if Dragon has no objections, that is) he will get new charms but he'll rely on them a lot less and the next time someone deprives him of his charms, thinking he'll be no threat without them, they will be in for a nasty surprise.
As per usual, this is all conjecture if Dragon doesn't want to do this.

Yeah, but as a noble of her house, one of the skills they most re-enforce is noticing those who do not wish to be noticed. That's mostly because they don't like the idea of being denied a death at the hands of an honorable adversary.
But, I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. He hasn't gotten this far by being easy to see.
