I told you I am good at Body Horror.
Zachaia walked in at that moment and said, "Oh, Dante, are you just going to go back to sleep now? But its already morning and I think we should keep moving."
She saw what had happened to him and she was inwardly very delighted by it. He was progressing very nicely.
Sorata smiled, "Oh, hi Brighde! Yeah, they are, I am a little surprised because of my...heh heh...record." It was common knowledge that if you sent Sorata on a mission, she would cause enormous property damages, sometimes even when the Masquerade Field was not set up.
Funny. The only group that has an inkling of where to go is the Assassin Trio. I mean, Jarl has an excuse of the Black Knight was there when Raize mentioned Zero Edge.
Dante opened his eyes and glared at the woman, "Okay, how the hell did you get in here? I bared the door."
"Yea, they're most certainly takin' a few risks with this one," Brìghde said playfully. "They're actually sendin' me out today as well. There's a war with demons goin' on here and they need all the help they can get."
Sakkaku looked outside his window at the commotion going on in the street. There was a knock at his door, "Come in." Ashley walked into his room, "Morning Sakka."
"Good morning and don't ever call me that again."
"Okay, jeez. What's going on?"
"Ceres seems to be having some sort of parade. Not sure why though."
"That means the library will be closed today."
"Meaning we're going to have to wait till this damn thing is over before we can move on. I don't believe the amount of stupidity this guy has. We're fighting a war and he declares today a holiday for probably something trivial... Where's Eyes?"
"I don't know. I got no answer when I knocked on his door and when I went inside he wasn't there."
"Great. Oh well. Not like we can do much today anyway."
"So what are we going to do today?"
"Whatever we want, I guess."
"So we meet back here tonight?"
"Sure. I'll see you later."
"Bye," with that Ashley left. Sakkaku looked out the window a bit longer then sighed. Since he had nothing better to do, Sakkaku threw on his cloak and decided to take a walk around the city.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! She thought fast, "I...don't think so. The door was not barred when I entered. You must have been tired and made a mistake..."
Sorata put one hand up for a fist bump, "Yeah, good luck, Brighde! Going to that world again...I think my last Meister was there."
Ceres had the grounds around the area prepared for his parade, and as usual, at the city entrance and exits, there were enormous amounts of troops to keep any enemies out of the area. Ceres had a slight problem with bandits and rebels in this area.
Forgot about that, didn't ya Nick?
"No... No, I'm pretty sure I did. For proof, the window's still blocked. Now why would I block the window but not he door, hm? Either way, get out of the room before I-" Dante stopped when he picked up his blanket and saw the things were still there. "Well, what do you know? It wasn't a dream," he sighed, "And here I was thinking the curse was weakened after I stabbed myself. I guess that'll show me." He pursed his lips, "Let me guess. In a couple of moments, you are going to offer me a one-in-a-lifetime chance reverse the physical aspects of the curse and slow down it's progress if I do something for you."
Brìghde smiled softly, "Don't worry. I'm sure you'll be fine," she playfully punched Sorata's arm, "Now go kick that wee lad's ass for me."
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Zachaia kept her neutral air, and said, "Well, I will say you are quite a smart man, Dante. That is indeed what I will offer you...plus certain other benefits to my continued presence, should you understand what I refer to."
Sorata smiled, "Of course." She nodded and walked off, a Hazard Gate opening and letting her through to go find Adrian.

I swear, Nick, if she gets telepathic powers I'm going to flog you.
Dante pursed his lips and scratched the back of his head, "Hmm. Sure. I'll bite. I take it you'll want something in return." There is no way in Hell this chick is getting sex from me. I'll just string her along. Make her think I'm into her so she'll stick around. Then, once I've found a reasonable cure or a better delay, I'll kill her. Is she decides to leave before either of those, I'll kill her anyway. Either way, my curse will be delayed, I'll have been given some more time to find a cure if I haven't found one, and the earth will be rid of her.
"I'll see ya later!" Brìghde called out to Sorata before she entered the portal. With a sigh, she went to her room, got her gear ready, and left the building into the city of Gelsbuur.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!she is a telepathic Master of Illusion Cyborg Zombie Ninja who can turn her lower body into a Motorcycle. Just Kidding.
Zachaia was thinking at the same exact time, I know that he is definitely transforming into a suitable vessel for the Demon God...and that if he continues here, he will become it, and if he leaves here, it will still be done. No matter what he does, he will become a part of this vast game.
She kept her appearances up and said, "Dante, are you alright? You do not look very well physically..."
"Thank you, Captain Obvious. I certainly wouldn't have been able to figure out something was amok without your keen observations. Since you seem to have had this planned out in advance, can we skip the formalities and move straight on to what you want me to do in return?"
I think Dante would qualify for Tall, Dark, and Snarky now.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!yeah, and he just saw through Zachaia's Obfuscating Stupidity.[awesome]
Zachaia looked away and offered a little smile, "Very well then, since you wish to know, I desire you, Dante, that is all I ask for in repayment for my services."
Dante is fairly Genre Savvy. Even if he wasn't, it's not like it would have been hard to do so.
Oh gods, not this again. That's the exact same thing she said last time we meet. "Yeeaaah, not now. I didn't have a very pleasant day yesterday. Besides, don't you think it's just a wee bit to early for that?"
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Dante thought for a moment, "Perhaps some other time."
Sakkaku aimlessly walked around the city. He didn't want to be near huge crowds so he walked towards one of the more empty areas. Given the parade going on, very few people were out in the alleys. The assassin was thankful for the solitude this day offered him. Tranquility was not something he easily found when traveling with the Prince.
The assassin was just walking along when a familiar feeling came over him. His head started throbbing as he felt the contents of his stomach attempt to go back into his mouth. The pain experience from his lack of magic use was terrible especially since it came without warning. Sakkaku felt his skin and muscles being pushed away from his bones as his blood pressure skyrocketed. Needing to get farther away from everyone, he headed further away from the center of the city.
Sakkaku was breathing heavily as his vision began to get blurry. Though this had happened many times before he never got used to it. Feeling that he had gone far enough, the assassin looked around and saw no one. Needing to release the energy quickly, he went through a list of spells in his head. He needed a powerful one but one that wouldn't cause attention to be drawn to him.
Having selected one, the assassin went through the necessarily chants to cast the spell. When he was done, he released his mana and caused a great blue flame to enclose himself. This flame was incredibly hot so in order to not burn himself nor anything around him he set up a field that protected everything from all types of heat. He didn't know how long he held the spell. All he knew is that the pressure, nausea, and headache was fading.
When he felt that it was enough, he released the spell, collapsing onto his knees as he did so. Sakkaku breathed heavily as the air around him started to cool off. Thought the fire spell was gone the barrier wasn't. There was still danger in this area from the heat.
Brìghde walked around the city, having decided to familiarize herself with it rather than listen to the king's speech. She had been walking for some time when she felt a large release of energy nearby. Not know what it was just that it could be bad, she ran towards it.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Zachaia smiled, "Alright, he is quite friendly, though I can guess you would feel suspicious of me."
She walked outside to meet with some odd people wearing cloaks and two guys, both enormous compared to the others, were carrying two rune covered boxes.
She said some odd things in a hushed tone, and then they all left, taking the boxes with them.
A darker presence seemed to watch the fire works of Sakkaku letting loose, and one single red eye showed itself.
"Now that...was outstanding..."
The creature seemed to fly away for the time being.

Eyes had been awakened by the incredible amount of noise from outside.
Irritated, he'd sat up and looked out the window, and had come to the same conclusion that Sakkaku and Ashley would come to shortly after. Since they would have to wait until the festivities were over, that would leave him some amount of free time, at least until tonight. Just as well, there was a lot of experimenting to be done. The bureau nearby had a much better lab than the one in the Iron Mountains, if he remembered correctly.
Getting up, he had quickly prepared all his items, and quickly left for the Bureau, threading his way through the back alleys. He had not been here for quite some time, but it seemed that the way had not changed all too much.
[[spoilers: Holy crap! I'm not believe my eyes! Skizz, you actually posted!]]
When she was gone Dante sighed. Things were going from bad to worse for him. Knowing he needed to do something, Dante got up to get dressed. He put on his pants first but stopped to examine his shirt and jacket. They had seen better days.
His shirt had four holes in it while his jacket had three. Half was from Dante had impaled his shoulder to drive back the curse while the other half had been from when Kiera had impaled him. Not a pleasant experience, getting impaled. With nothing else to wear, he threw them on before putting on his bracelet and anklet. Finally, he untied the ribbon he used to hold his hair up and wrapped it around his hair twice. The first knot being on the top and the second on the bottom.
Lacking a brush, he ran his fingers through his hair a couple of times before sighing again. How he missed the carefree days of his childhood when he lived in his town. Putting those thoughts aside, he strapped on his sword and went outside. He made sure to avoid that woman.
Brìghde kept running to the source of the disturbance. She slid to a stop near a corner to see a man in a black cloak struggling to get up. "Are you okay?!" she called out, all traces of her accent gone. "I'm fine," the man said as he breathed heavily, "Just a little tired from preparing for the parade all day yesterday."
"But the parade is a ways from here."
"I know. I was just returning home from it. The major stuff won't be happening for a while and I thought I'd get a bit of rest before then."
"Alright, then what was that massive burst of energy I felt?"
"You can sense mana?" she nodded. The man sighed, having decided to give up the charade. "I'm can use magic but, for specific reasons, I don't... well... use it. Due to that, my mana tends to build up to the point when I can no longer contain it. When that happens, I'm forced to release a lot of it at once."
"That can attract demons, you know."
"Yeah, I know. I'd rather fight one than become one though."
"So you're willing to fight demons?"
"In ways I already am. I'm am, or was, traveling with Prince Raize and a small group of warriors. We are currently on a quest to kill the demon lord and end the war," Brìghde thought for a moment. This could be useful. It would let me fulfill my mission and protect people at the same time. "Mind if I come with?"
"Can you fight?"
"I'm a member of the Burial Organization's Demon Slayer unit. It's my job."
"Hmm. In the end it's the Prince's decision but I don't mind. What's your name?"
"Nadia," Brìghde lied.
"Sakkaku Yamazuki," she noted that his name sounded Japanese. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Sakka."
"Yeah, don't call me that."
"Okay then. What do you have planned?"
"Waste some time here until tomorrow. When the library opens up, we'll find the location of Zero Edge and then go there. Two people I know and myself got separated from the group not too long ago."
"Well, what are you going to do today?"
"I don't know. Probably just walk around the city."
"Mind if I join you then? I'm not from here and wanted to become familiar with this place." Sakkaku sighed, "I don't see why not."
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Zachaia walked back and started to look for Dante, she had a number of plans for what would happen today. She just had to wonder about tomorrow and how much of him would remain and how much of Argageres would surface. Yes, she would enjoy watching him slowly slip away. To see him lose hope, to see the light leave his eyes, that would be orgasmic!
She put on her pleasant face and said, "Dante...are you around here?"
In the city, Ceres started a speech, "Mhmmma, now let say zat zis is gonna be a happy day as yeet another of mine daughters is married and happily. I salute her husband, and welcome him to ze family! We of the Van Daigon line have a proud history of making the best steel swords in the land, and also forging Star Steel here. My newest son iz going to receive ze best of Ceres' designs! Next, allow me to say zat ze rebels are being pushed back, same story for ze bandits..."
He continued on rambling, randomly including some stuff about time lag.
Still not sure what to do with Sakkaku and co.
Dante was laying on a nearby roof when the lady called for him. "And here I was hoping I could get going and reunite with the group. Now I'm forced to be with this hag for gods know how long. My life is just so much fun right now," he mumbled quietly to himself.
With nothing better to do, he came down off of his roof, "Yeah? What do you want?"
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!isn't Zachaia just the nicest person you've ever met?
Zachaia said, "Well, we should get going soon...is there anywhere you wish to go?"

Okay, ew. Not exactly what I planned but I suppose it'll do.
Dante groaned as he woke up that morning. The previous day had been rather crazy, to say the least. He stretched before getting out of the bed. He ran a hand through the top bit of his hair as he smacked his lips try to get the fuzz off his tongue.
He walked passed the a mirror and glanced at it. He took a few more steps before stopping and walking back. He looked at his reflection and sighed, "Not again." Dante rubbed his face, having gotten used to this. "Alright, let's see what's changed this time. Slightly more muscular build. Not bad. One eye has changed colors. While it does look somewhat demonic it does look rather cool. Could be worse," he finally paid attention to the anomaly on his skin. "Huh, that's new. Maybe my brain is giving me a visual representation of when it feels like bugs are crawling under my skin due to alcohol withdraw. It is rather gross but I've seen worse," he sighed, "Man, I need to stop drinking and do away with these crazy dreams. Ugh. Back to bed." With that, he did indeed return to bed thinking it was one of his usual dreams.
Brìghde walked down the halls of the Burial Building in Gandria. She had just been sent there to do her work in Andalia. Luckily, she knew an old friend was about to leave to track down someone. She rounded a corner and almost literally ran into said person. "'Ey Sorata! It's been a while! I see they're finally sendin' ya off on yer mission," given that this would probably be the last chance for her to speak normally for a while, Brìghde didn't bother hiding her accent.
Yeah, that's my poor excuse of an attempt at typing a Scottish accent.
