Well the outrage over both, of course is beyond silly. Mind you this was the first I heard of it. And I can't find anything on it. I'm suspecting this is a case of "centrists run amok", more concerned over tone than substance.
I found one thing on Daily Kos about it for a quick search, and it was a quick little mocking thing on how she was trying to sound hip. (Probably unfair if you ask me)
Democracy is the process in which we determine the government that we deserveCan we please just forget about that dumb bitch?
Damn you Mc Cain. You just had to pull a publicity stunt at the end of your presidential campaign and propel this train wreck into the national spotlight.
You know, I really liked Mc Cain and I was going to vote for him until Palin came on the scene.. No way I'm ever letting that bitch anywhere near command authority of my beloved Armed Forces if I can help it, god knows who she'd have me fighting, besides everyone.
IIRC, she was complaining about O's use of the phrase "Sputnik moment" without getting why he used it. Here's a deal, everyone: we'll pay attention to Sarah Palin when she discusses a topic she actually understands, okay?
[Palin disappears from the national consciousness] Welp, that was easy.
Share it so that people can get into this conversation, 'cause we're not the only ones who think like this.I consider Palin to be a symptom of the terrible sickness of the national debate, where the only credibility a pundit needs is that their assertions coincide with your beliefs.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I've seen a lot of conservatives abandon her for "corrupting the youth" with "obscenities" after this incident.
I'm feeling strangely happy now, contented and serene. Oh don't you see, finally I'll be, somewhere that's green...So thanks to the Spudnut stuff I am now almost fully convinced that I want Palin to stay in the national spotlight as the face of the Tea Party. The other possibility is to let Michele Bachmamn take control of it, so that her 'clean slate' will fill up with the same kinds of gaffes she's made before becoming as major a politician as she's shaping up to be.
I'm torn between giving her the attention she wants or just keeping her around for teh lulz.
Warm hugs and morally questionable advice given here. Prosey BitchfestI understand opposition to health. People that support healthy eating are bastards. I hate healthy eating and I always will. I choose what I put in my mouth, dmanit!
I'm feeling strangely happy now, contented and serene. Oh don't you see, finally I'll be, somewhere that's green...Well, I can understand at least the opposition to healthy eating. Eventually someone is going to come up with the bright idea of making sure that agriculture policy lines up with what we would consider to be healthier eating, and that's going to really piss a lot of people off. But come on, talk about that directly instead of hiding it in proxy fights.
FWIW I would fully support such a policy. I dream for the day I can go to a fast food joint and get a decent salad at a decent price.
Democracy is the process in which we determine the government that we deserveWhat we need is to utterly outlaw the use of High Fructose Corn Syrup in the US, even though that would be absolutely devastating to our agriculture and export economy.
I think it's fine to still sell it to other people, but god damn, our whole nation really is "corn-fed", that shit is in everything.

Okay, so apparently the nation is getting all in an uproar because Sarah Palin didn't like Obama's speech.
Apparently the fact that she said that a speech made by President Obama, using a catchphrase with the acronym "WTF", had a lot of WTF moments in it, means that she has, and I'm quoting here, "lost her mind".
What? Why? What... what?
What?
And you know, I'd really like to see some survey results telling us just how much overlap there is between the people who are condemning Palin for this and the people who rushed to Biden's defense during the "Big Fucking Deal" "scandal", and vice-versa. I'm guessing a lot.
(Though I've got to say those do seem somewhat different in such a way that I could understand defending Palin and not Biden for non-partisan reasons, if you have a very specific level of tolerance, but I also think the uproar over both is pretty silly.)
