Balatro: In the Fragile Challenge, where all your cards are Glass Cards, which break immediately thanks to your two Eternal Oops! All 6s guaranteeing their chances to break, and you can't change their enhancements or add new cards, you really need to deliberately play non-scoring cards to save your more important cards from breaking. Especially when fighting the Psychic, which forces you to play 5 cards.

Still waiting for someone to break him free...The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom:
- If you're going to do the stranded boat quest, have at least one aspect of Swordfighter form upgraded to Level 3 and/or happen to have recently made Might-regenerating smoothies that you haven't drunk yet. The boss in there is a "kill smaller monsters to be able to have a go at the big one" type and said "smaller monsters" will regenerate at one per attack if there is as much as one survivor to the recurring, but small window to kill them off. If you're a poor strategist, charged bow attacks are the only easy-to-think-of way to deal with the situation efficiently, as that window is barely longer than the average enemy echo reaction time.
- Check maps for new rifts after you restore Hyrule castle. Smaller rifts might have shown up in aleady visited places and any levelling up of Tri will help.

- The Green Joker (+1 Multi per hand, -1 Multi per discard) will lose 1 Multi on any discard, not just ones you initiate. For example, the Hook's forced discard when you play a hand will cost you 1 Multi.
Assassin's Creed Origins: If you stay in the desert for too long, you’ll start hallucinating. Nothing that bad, just keep that mind when you start seeing heat hazes in the distance and whispers.

Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes.[1]
Late to this, but when I wrote that "hard way" tip, I did not encounter Erosion at any point in that run.
Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes: Don't put off viewing the Support conversations for too long, there's a lot more of them with deadlines in this game.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonYou can render a quest impossible to complete by accidentally selling a required item in Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin.
Get taxed. Idiot.Super Mario Party Jamboree: In the last riddle of the Luigi rescue minigame, you dol NOT have to insert all five icons in one go. See the first two or three, put them into the code field, then exit to see the remaining characters. I have lost this minigame several times after getting to this point because I tried too hard to memorize the order of all five icons at once.
Quake I: In the Honey mod, it's not recommended to use rockets in combat since you'll need them for the switches (also, I have to say that pressing them with the explosions is VERY nitpicky. I actually haven't managed to press any yet minus the one right after I got the grenade launcher, as it was close enough to me.
135 -> 180 -> 273 -> 191 -> 188 -> 230 -> 300 -> 311The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom:
- You're probably meant to do the higher levels of that mango harvest game after you get your hands on that double-jump ring.
- Stilled water still being water also means that stilled lava is still lava. (Didn't even make that pun on purpose)
Edit:
- Two things revert if you fail that Rising Water, Rising Tension moment in the Death Mountain dungeon: enemies and the fact that the boss key is still in its chest. If the lava is suspiciously merciful during any of your attempts, you probably straight up forgot to grab the key.
- The boss fight in that same dungeon is easier if you manage to Bind that necklace away.

Lufia: The Legend Returns: This game's English translation is hot ass, and as such the unintuitive names and descriptions of spells and abilities can be stupid at best and downright detrimental at worst. I've already discussed
some of this game's Blind Idiot Translations before, but just to give you a better idea of the flavor of crust we're dealing with here:
- Contrary to what the name would suggest, the Drain spell has nothing to do with HP; it actually lowers an enemy's defense.
- The flavor text for Seal Palm claims that it's "effective against magic monsters," which would lead you to believe that it does more damage when used on enemies with high INT. What Seal Palm actually does is — get this — drain the target's MP. Fascinatingly unintuitive, I know.
- Flash is a lightning elemental spell, that checks out... Gale is ice — freezing cold winds, although it's a bit of a strech... Then there's Spark, which is a fire spell. I think this one might come down to programming constraints, and maybe I'm just too Pokemon-pilled, but... come on, you name a spell "Spark," you're just asking for players to think it's electricity related.
- Fake raises a target's speed? Not sure what sense that's supposed to make, but whatever.
- Double Team raises Evasion, not Speed / Agility.

I remember "Spark" being a Fire-elemental spell in the original Lufia game, too. The spell progression went something like this:
- Fire: Spark, Flame, Vulcan
- Water: Dew, Water, Flood
- Lightning: Flash, Bolt, Thunder
- Ice: Frost, Blizzard, Glacier
- Explosion: Bang, Blast, Sunder
The "Fake" = "Speed up" and "Trick" = "Attack up" were carried over from the first game, too. Unsurprisingly, that game's localization was also...not great.
EDIT/THREAD TAX: League of Legends: The halo around Evelynn when she's in Demon Shade mode is the effective range of her camouflage. If an enemy gets within that range, they can see her. Don't let the enemy get inside that halo.

"It ain't about whether you win or lose, unless you got money on the game, because...damn. That's your money, son."Thread Tax Evasion: Oh hey, I think I stumbled into a new gag… anywho, I got something.
- ANTONBLAST: This is going to sound weird, but you know how with Pizza Tower, you always have to be on the mood to keep the combo going, how you have to keep on doing the secrets, keep getting the Toppins, keep doing the second laps, pushing yourself into a perfectionist speedrunning headspace (basically treating this as a Sonic game, if Sonic was able to run up walls)? Antonblast's pace is slower. You aren't penalized (at least not in the default Arcade Modes) for taking a level slower to find every new nook and cranny to discover things. Platforming, like you would in a 2D Crash Bandicoot game, is the name of the game. Destruction and platforming. In other words, Antonblast is not a speed game, in the way that Pizza Tower unmistakably is.
- Wolverine is actually pretty hard to play. It’s all about cooldown management, really, but it’s quite easy to just jump in and die.
- Captain America’s shield is not very good at blocking hard hitting attacks, and is best used for chip damage or blocking one enemy. Try blocking Punisher ult with it and it’ll get shredded in seconds.
- Dr. strange has a lot of interesting animation cancels to bypass his slow primary fire rate, like quick meeleeing or shielding immediately after you shoot to avoid the long animation.
- If you’ve swallowed people with Jeff ult and intend to throw them off a ledge, try aiming down or simply jumping off without spitting them out, as both stop the chance of the enemy getting back up.
Good Pizza, Great Pizza: When a customer says “fruit”, they mean in the scientific sense. So toppings like bell peppers, tomatoes, and olives.

Assassin's Creed Origins: Sandstorms are real. If you happen to ride into one, your best bet is to just keep heading forward, since Senu is unavailable and you can’t see your immediate surroundings.
