The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom:
The enemy echoes aren't particularly smart. In fact, some of them are absolute dumbasses. Sometimes it's best to just use one as a distraction for an actual enemy so you can attack it with the sword ability.
135 -> 180 -> 273 -> 191 -> 188 -> 230 -> 300 -> 311
That was my mood
when trying to get the enemies to do something.
I found the best strategy was just to quickly re-summon them after attacking so they'd go faster, like quickly re-sleeping on the bed.
The Protomen enhanced my life.If you're gonna go against the Atlantean Worm, don't be an idiot like me and try to kill it on land.

Burning love!In AC: Odyssey, if you kill all the legendary animals in one go for Daphnae's questline, you won't be able to romance her. You give her all the pelts at once and don't get multiple chances to choose romantic dialogue options.

My stories on AO3.That was my annoyance with Mass Effect too! Gotta talk to them between missions!
Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576- Hela’s primary fire has the smallest damn hitbox known to man; aim is key.
- Doctor Strange portals can actually make your framerate plummet, so be wary and expect lag whenever you pop one.
- Be really careful walking out of spawn on payload maps where you’re attacking. For all you know the enemy Strange has set up a portal over a cliff or Peni put up a minefield. Even a second’s hesitation can be a lifesaver.
- Destroy Moon Knight Ankhs as fast as possible.
- Hulk and Captain America don’t really do that much damage, so just stick to jumping in, punching, and then jumping out.
- Counterswapping actually works sometimes. If you’re always playing the same hero, you might wanna diversify a tad.
- Solo ulting is perfectly fine. The “perfect ult” is usually nonexistent.
- Inventory handling is key. God forbid you find something you need but you have no room because you collected fiber for the 80th time.
Rune Factory 3: Watch your range when using magic staves. Bonking enemies up close drains RP.
"It ain't about whether you win or lose, unless you got money on the game, because...damn. That's your money, son."Worms W.M.D.: enemies (generally) don't get knocked around when hit with the O.M.G. Strike (or its upgraded O.M.G. L.O.L. Strike) at all.
So if you happen to stand close enough to one when you unleash that weapon… their final act may well be revenge by death.
(Like. Their dying causing an explosion that catapults your worm into the depths of whatever ocean there is. Or into a minefield. Or into the range of a sentry gun. Or…)
- Unlike standard poker, hands don't need to be five cards.
- Only cards that actually matter to the hand's value are scored. This ties into the above lesson.
- You earn interest for every five currency in your bank at the end of a round.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom: You can build vertical towers via continually firing the water block echo to the same location, but the conditions under which they can be used to make horizontal paths between Still World pieces are so fickle that you might as well keep the bed one on hand.

- The Photo Chad synergy (The Photo and Hanging Chad), genuinely powerful though it is… isn't in and of itself enough. You need to boost that flat mult up first, and missing that will eventually screw your run over.
- If you want any chance of making The Magic 8-Ball work consistently, Oops! All 6s! is the joker to pair it with… but at that point, you're likely better off doing Bloodstone.
- Don't be afraid to sell cards if you have no use for them. It's better than ending up with anti-synergies. (For example, the Joker that makes all your cards count as face cards and the Joker that increases its multiplier for each face-card-less hand but resets if you play one... don't work well together.)
- The different deck colors have different effects.
- While cards outside of the actual scored cards are valueless (unless you have Splash or similar Jokers), putting valueless cards in the hand can act as a pseudo-discard if you need it.
- Balatro: Card order matters - not just for Jokers, but also for scored cards, cards in hand, and any interactions between your cards - if you have two Queens and a Photograph, the first Queen should be the one with +Mult on it (i.e. Mult Card, Holographic, Suit-interacting Jokers) to get the bigger Photograph bonus. Similarly, if you have three Queens and Shoot the Moon, make sure that your Steel Queen is last.
- Slay the Spire:
- Fuck the Time Eater. All cards you play (not just from hand but through stuff like Havoc, Multiplication Potion etc.) count for the limit.
- Don't be greedy hunting for Relics in Act 1. Act 1 Elites will kill you if you take them lightly (Lagavullin in particular); Act 2 ones are pretty dangerous too, but you should have better cards and resources to fight them.
- Rival Stars Horse Racing:
- You will never be able to sell a horse for the same amount of money you put into training it. Not even close.
- Race lengths change every time you enter one.
Balatro: Going in debt is actually a good thing in the Luxury Tax challenge since it increases your hand size for every $5 you don't have. However, you should still try earning money to buy upgrades.
Still waiting for someone to break him free...- You can’t assassinate enemies with a higher level than you. “Stealth Attack” will pop up where “Assassinate” should be, as a handy reminder.
- Fall damage is real. Dying because you Leap of Faith’d in the wrong direction is quite humiliating.
- Twin blades, while fun to use (at least imo) are quite impractical when taking down bulkier enemies and predators.
- Lions can move around really fast, deceptively so.
- Some jars are incendiary, so be careful, as you just set yourself on fire then die.
Action Taimanin:
They introduced a "Total War" gamemode on 7 January 2024. It's only worth trying if you want to see who can eb the most infuriatingly brain-dead between your AI-controlled team and the boss.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom: Smoothies are still useful if your standard approach to combat is "end the enemy before it ends you", as combat situations in which it's hard to have a nap actually exist.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt: If a quest tells you that there's an objective that's optional, then that optional thing is going to lead you to the best ending of that mission.
- If your level is too low to use a Noble Path Action, its icon will be grayed out in the little pop-up box.
- This might seem obvious, but enemies in a character's starting region are almost always weak to that character's starting weapons/elements. This eventually stops applying as Dynamic Difficulty takes effect.
- Bosses will usually use a special attack on the turn you get the "Break them now or suffer the consequences" warning message. As such, if they use a normal attack, there's no rush.
- Take Danger Levels seriously.
Balatro: If you copy a Vampire, only one copy of it will receive buffs on enhancement removal - which is probably obvious in hindsight, but it took me off-guard.
Saints Row: The Third: Late into the game, all the drawbridges in Steelport will be raised up, and will remain that way for the rest of the game, even after the story's over, so make sure to do all the vehicle theft quests involving the land vehicles beforehand, as several of the cars you're asked to steal are slow and likely won't have enough momentum to make the jump to the other side, even with the nitro boost. Fortunately, the huge highway doesn't have this problem, but it will likely make your trip take much longer, which you don't want because you have the police hounding after you and run the risk of colliding into other cars, damaging the one you're trying to steal.

Mainly a lesson on complacy and not to be stupid. If the game gives you Blueprint, Hanging Chad, Perkeo and Lucky Cat and your consumables are all Justice and one Magician, sell all the stupid Justice.
Burning love! The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom: All those geysers that appear in Eldin Volcano and its dungeon? You're supposed to use an echo of that wind-blowing enemy with them so you can freely fly between parts of an area.
135 -> 180 -> 273 -> 191 -> 188 -> 230 -> 300 -> 311

In am old school RPG, trying to run away is an excellent way to throw away a turn and potentially get wiped out.
