Ahh, console video games (or vidcons as I call them). the ultimate medium of expression, able to convey any emotion ranging from hatred to love, loyalty to fear, all in front of our eyes. Ah, and with lovingly crafted art, music, and the ability to control the action, vidcons are the ultimate combination of the high arts. While I tend to play the stoic, I will be the first to admit that vidcons haven driven me to cry, to scream and shout, to feel actual hate; such is the power of this force beyond our wildest reckoning. And here I am, before you, to temp your tongues with the taint of such a tantalizing topic.
And the Japanese, the true geniuses behind the world of video games. Pah, I throw my scorn upon such incompetents of the West who would mock the true art of the Japanese with 'games' such as Baldur's Gate and Madden. Perhaps it is that the West is not as intelligent as the East, but this is a matter for another day. Japan has given us such masterpieces as the Final Fantasy series, Star Ocean, Wild Arms, and of course, Arc the Lad. Yes, some of the finest vidcons in the world were created by Japanese. I come to you today to ask you in all earnesty, what is your favorite vidcon? I will reveal mine after the grand debate has illustriously begun, but not before the first poster falls victim to my plot of discussion.
In other words, this is a thread on an imaginary forum our avatars frequent. The topic can fluctuate, and its mostly just general discussion.
Anyone looking forward to seeing Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in a few weeks? I do like sci-fi stuff a lot, and I love Zoe Saldaña. Cannot wait to see it.
Me too. I hope the third film includes a lot of Marvel references and stands out on its own in comparison to the previous two.
"Paldea has a lot of different Pokemon from those in Kitakami." - CarmineI'm certainly looking forward to that film too! Comes out a few days before one Tama friend's birthday as well!
Like that gap between the previous one should be a good sign much effort they're putting into it! Man, it was so hot today, I needed like 4 bottles to quench my thirst.
Meet the Tamas!◊ This is where it will end, by my hand.
It was very warm today. I'm gonna go to sleep now. Hopefully tomorrow the weather should be nice.
Me too. Also, hopefully, I won't have any nightmares during my sleep tonight. Good night, everyone!
"Paldea has a lot of different Pokemon from those in Kitakami." - Carmine[1] You know, the thing with the hidden portal is a bit cumbersome, were it not for the fact that I would want the multiverse to stay concealed... I wonder if it's possible to reveal the existence of the multiverse to my homeworld without my kind wanting to explore it.
Edit: I could try making up some kind of story about the multiverse, like it being inherently dangerous and unpredictable, and EV having accidentally opened a portal into it and now they're trying to hold back threats, something along those lines…

Just woke up. Gonna take it easy today and try to get some work done.
Same here. How was everyone's sleep?
"Paldea has a lot of different Pokemon from those in Kitakami." - CarmineI slept nicely, today is starting out lovely!
It's so nice and warm today though it might get quite hot later.
Meet the Tamas!◊ This is where it will end, by my hand.
Knowing humanity, at least one person would willingly walk in to their “death”, and then come back and tell everyone that it’s relatively safe and also you’re a liar.

"Mortefi, researcher at Department of Safety, Huaxu Academy. For inquiries about Tacetite weapons, you may visit my lab." What if they never get access to a portal, and also don't know that I'm involved?
Icarus, if it's not too much trouble for you, you could occasionally "battle" various entities to reinforce that idea.
Hmm.. well, it's definitely less resource-consuming than serving your homeworld, but at that point, I might as well serve your homeworld, and you're against that.
Right.

I have seen for myself evidence that people would do exactly that.
That seems to be the safest option, especially if you can close the portal when we're done with it. Plus, you'd be surprised for how long you can keep a portal hidden in a basement for.

Gonna go exercise at the gym now. Woke up kind of feeling a bit tired, so a nice run on the treadmill should help perk me up a bit. By the way, any interesting new things you guys recently learned about?
"Paldea has a lot of different Pokemon from those in Kitakami." - CarmineHumans are able to recover from a cordyceps infection once they develop a tolerance to the signaling chemical it uses to drive them to frenzy.
I look to the stars... but that's mostly because there isn't anything else interesting(x2)
I learned that there are constructs called "Murder Sharks," made by a Spanish madboy, and that they live in the Atlantic Ocean.
I learned that there is a lesser Greek goddess of onslaught and pursuit. Her name is Ioke and she's even mentioned in the Iliad.
I learned that she hates Alabaster for some reason.
I learned that I've had a hitherto-unknown kind of poison in my bloodstream for around three to five years. My physician removed it today, but he was impressed that I survived so long with it while having no notable negative effects.
Please visit the "AITA" forum game[1] Okay now I'm curious to see how it looks like recovering from zombification.
It's probably not that common to see it happen in works.
The aftermath of that sounds kinda unpleasant given what can occur during the time of being a zombie.

Meet the Tamas!◊ This is where it will end, by my hand.Actually surprisingly easy transition as the fungus forms it's own clotting structures at a much more rapid pace then clotting would occur within a normal human. and even a subject that is beheaded survived

Cordyceps? That sounds kind of freaky. I've seen videos of ants and other tiny bugs being infected by it and dying as a result. Cordyceps is not something I would want to be infected by, that's for sure.
The Pokemon Parasect is based on insects infected by cordyceps, if I remember correctly.
"Paldea has a lot of different Pokemon from those in Kitakami." - Carmine Finally got home. [1] Didn't really learn many new things besides university stuff, and I'd probably bore you with that...
Though I have been reading a book recently, Infinite Powers by Steven Strogatz, and it's a pretty good book on calculus! Instead of directly going into the formulas, it tries to illustrate the topics it handles with lots of practical examples. It might even get Pianitchi to be interested in math.
Sounds like you have a lot of experience with that.

Sorry for the late reply, Stefan. I was busy.
(OOC: Got one of my exams done!)
But to answer your question: To be fair, so far I only have one experience with that happening.
My cousin Tweedle had this portal set up below the Red Cathedral of Mechanicsburg. He used it to escape just before the Baron froze the town, and it went from there to his Refuge of Storms. I have no clue how long he had the portal set up there, but I didn't know it existed until then.
Red Cathedral? Ooh, dat sounds a widdle spoopy to me.
From what I've seen, it looks quite beautiful. It has a nice shade of crimson red!

You're right, Miss Furifuritchi, it's quite the sight. I saw it myself with Agatha after we fixed the Castle and won the battle for Mechanicsburg.
An online search showed me this depiction of it by Prof. Phil Foglio:
(OOC: Taken from HERE◊ on Fandom, where one user scrubbed the original page (Vol. XIII p. 49◊) in GIMP to remove the speech bubbles.)
(If you look closely, you can see Agatha on the bottom next to my cousin, who is the guy on the horse.)
It was built by Dante "the Good" Heterodyne when one of my ancestors, Prince Vadim Sturmvoraus, made a bet with him. So I suppose it's kind of poetic that Agatha went there with me of all people for her coronation.

Please visit the "AITA" forum gameThat looks kinda cool. I wonder how people can be comfortable with all those spikes and skulls above the doorways.
Edit: oh crap, it's quarter past midnight! I better go to sleep before I oversleep tomorrow.
Also, grats on getting the exam done! Let's hope you passed it.

Speaking of portals, hey Icarus, once you got that multiversal transport system done, you dont mind if I borrow some of that equipment that Stefan used in Phos’s world?
I would like to use that weird portal of mine to properly introduce myself to the Gems…
Yo buddies, still tropin’?
Homework has been so exhausting for me today. Cannot wait for the summer to arrive.
I can relate. Sometimes homework can take too much of my time, and I get stressed out too.
Homework has been difficult for me as well. Fortunately I'll be watching John Wick: Chapter 4 tomorrow, so I should be okay.
"Paldea has a lot of different Pokemon from those in Kitakami." - CarmineThat film is definitely a good choice, total badassery right there.
Summer should be on it's way very soon, only two months away! aroo.
Still feeling good after that wonderful meal, we had Mac and cheese that were Paw Patrol and unicorn shapes!
Meet the Tamas!◊ This is where it will end, by my hand.
Gonna go to sleep now. Hopefully tomorrow I should be able to continue making good progress with homework assignments.
Me too. Good night, everyone!
Gonna sleep as well. My hammock in the rainforest is quite comfy for sleeping, so that's a plus.

[1] Gil and Tarvek. And I've already hidden a secret portal chamber in the sewers close to the museum, which I'll use to bring the two over.
[2] Couldn't have possibly happened yet, none of the airlocks have yet to see actual usage beyond testing. Besides that, the only people who have permission to cycle the airlocks when there's no vessel attached are EV sysadmins and Uirst.
