And the Japanese, the true geniuses behind the world of video games. Pah, I throw my scorn upon such incompetents of the West who would mock the true art of the Japanese with 'games' such as Baldur's Gate and Madden. Perhaps it is that the West is not as intelligent as the East, but this is a matter for another day. Japan has given us such masterpieces as the Final Fantasy series, Star Ocean, Wild Arms, and of course, Arc the Lad. Yes, some of the finest vidcons in the world were created by Japanese. I come to you today to ask you in all earnesty, what is your favorite vidcon? I will reveal mine after the grand debate has illustriously begun, but not before the first poster falls victim to my plot of discussion.
In other words, this is a thread on an imaginary forum our avatars frequent. The topic can fluctuate, and its mostly just general discussion.

10AM in Germany. I don't expect you to be awake by then - as I said somewhere in the past (can't blame you if you forgot), I don't wanna RP this. Instead, I can give you pics of the exhibits we've visited afterwards
I do have an update on the transit system! There's now a stream of a testing site where we test the fine maneuvering of various vessels, as well as docking and recharging. It's not exactly spectacular, but feel free to come and watch!
Besides that, a designer on the crew turned out to be a massive nerd and made one of the docking modules look like a TARDIS, and the rest of the crew decided to Throw It In!. So now, if you're sitting at a multiverse port and looking up to the sky, instead of a docking module, you might see a blue telephone box descending.
The testing site has four docks located at different positions. There are camera feeds in the stream showing what those docks look like from the universes that they connect. There's lots of funnels and guiderails to push the docking module into the right position, which itself has lots of spring-loaded wheels, just like what you'd expect to see on a station for a cable car.

Oh, those are for advanced physics classes. Me and Naomi are not physicists and we're not very knowledgeable enough on math to even qualify for those. We're just taking a general astronomy class which includes observing and studying the planets in the New Solar System and the nearby stars.
Our university makes basic astronomy a requirement in order to better understand the Dolls and where we fit in the universe along with them. Thankfully, advanced physics is part of that requirement, otherwise I would fail. Haha...

In order from left to right, from closest to farthest, there's Brinley, Cleo, Evelyn, Reverie, Lilac, and Adenorde.
Evelyn especially is a beautiful ocean world filled with diverse aquatic life, all created from our Garden Project. I highly recommend visiting it.
I apologize for posting these images the third time lol. Anyway, I keep all my brainstorming notes on an off-site document. I won't be sharing it in full due to privacy concerns, but you're free to continue asking more about my story's setting if you like.
Also, Roselia is the current month we're in now. It's the month of spring, at least on the northern half of the world.

My version of earth and Alabaster's version are different, but by comparing our histories, we think we can get a picture of a "Baseline Earth" like the one your world may have had.

There isn't a whole lot of what we know of our ancestor's home, but we do know from research notes is that, in the year 2143 on Earth, our ancestors embarked on the most ambitious mission to travel beyond the Solar System called the Grand Expedition. Four self-sustaining generation ships were built in orbit, each sent on the same trajectory towards a planet called TRAPPIST-1 e, but of course, they didn't reach their destination and drifted for thousands of years until they reached Florentia by pure luck.
Beyond that, we only have scattered dates of some events that happened on Earth. One particular date that comes up a lot is 2020, which is described as the year of the "pandemic", whatever that is. We archaeologists and historians speculate that humanity was nearly wiped out to extinction by some deadly virus. If true, we're really lucky to have survived that, since dates after the "pandemic" tell us humanity was thriving again.
Human history is so facisnating.
I considered making an Unpublished Works page about my novel's setting and lore, but ultimately decided against it per the concerns raised by Cardboard Bot and a few others on this thread since I don't want to make an unfinished work available to the public yet. I'm sorta using this thread as a testing ground for ideas atm.

That's right! We're pretty sure (89%) that your "Lost Earth" had the Greeks, the Romans, the Egyptians, the Israelites, the Chinese, and the Japanese, just like our Earth did!
