Ahh, console video games (or vidcons as I call them). the ultimate medium of expression, able to convey any emotion ranging from hatred to love, loyalty to fear, all in front of our eyes. Ah, and with lovingly crafted art, music, and the ability to control the action, vidcons are the ultimate combination of the high arts. While I tend to play the stoic, I will be the first to admit that vidcons haven driven me to cry, to scream and shout, to feel actual hate; such is the power of this force beyond our wildest reckoning. And here I am, before you, to temp your tongues with the taint of such a tantalizing topic.

And the Japanese, the true geniuses behind the world of video games. Pah, I throw my scorn upon such incompetents of the West who would mock the true art of the Japanese with 'games' such as Baldur's Gate and Madden. Perhaps it is that the West is not as intelligent as the East, but this is a matter for another day. Japan has given us such masterpieces as the Final Fantasy series, Star Ocean, Wild Arms, and of course, Arc the Lad. Yes, some of the finest vidcons in the world were created by Japanese. I come to you today to ask you in all earnesty, what is your favorite vidcon? I will reveal mine after the grand debate has illustriously begun, but not before the first poster falls victim to my plot of discussion.

In other words, this is a thread on an imaginary forum our avatars frequent. The topic can fluctuate, and its mostly just general discussion.

I mean... If they're anything like the people from the mathematics journal you shared here a while ago, I could probably show them how to actually do maths.

Oh, don't worry, the Queen's Society has a much different approach to things. One major difference is that the other guys who wrote that journal are still alive.

But in seriousness, that journal I shared (that feels like forever ago) was by people from other fields trying out hard mathematics (and failing). Unlike the Queen's Society which has/had actual mathematicians.

Probably some people opposed to mathematics tried to discredit them. That happens a lot in societies where mathematics are often seen as evil due to being too difficult.

I probably would disagree, but I would like to learn more about this situation, please.

From what I know about Tarvek's homeworld, I'd guess the answer is probably much wilder.

Oh, the answer is actually a lot simpler than that: most of the Queen's Society membership is dead.

I actually saw it all unfold myself, in-person. Those guys all seemingly chose the same day to backstab each other for their master plans. Agatha and I joined the Society just before it happened; we survived it because we weren't part of any of their nonsense. We even stopped a giant monster they summoned.

My joke earlier about there being a mathematics chair open was that, technically, all of their chairs are open. But I guess that joke requires context to work. Whoops.

Probably Queen Elizabeth, the queen of England? Don't know which one it would be though, in my homeworld it was Queen Elizabeth II (until her recent death).

Also, stupid joke:

A monk walks up to a hot dog stand and asks, "Make me one with everything."

After a brief chuckle at the monk's joke the vendor hands him his hot dog with everything and says, "That'll be $4 please." The monk hands over a $10 bill and waits whilst the vendor just stares back at him.... Awkwardly the monk asks: "What about my change?"

"Ah" replies the hot dog vendor, "Change must come from within."

Stefan has the right country, but the wrong name. The Queen in question is Albia of England. She's been Queen there for as long as we've had records of an England existing.
Before you ask: no, I don't know how she's still alive.

Yes, I'm okay. Probably it's because I've been sitting too much recently trying to finish up homework assignments. Maybe I need to stretch out more and sit less.

Small update on the transit system: We've realized that using space stations as intermediate connection points is not a good idea, because among other reasons, it's not good for the human psyche, it may be disorienting, it's unsafe, and using toilets specifically designed for low-gravity environments requires lots of training. So instead, since we probably won't connect to universes that don't have planets, all our stations will be on solid ground! The transport will generally take place in a different universe than the station's in order to avoid gravity and noise pollution from launch/landing procedures.
A couple of the designers told me they were a bit disappointed, because designing a livable space in 0 G's was something they've never done before, but thankfully, the choice has greatly simplified the design process.
Maybe we'll be able to set up the first couple of stations in a couple of weeks instead of a whole year!

[1] I've tried a 45 min work/15 min break rhythm before - ignoring my lack of motivation, it worked out decently well. I'm sure doing some physical exercise in these 15 minutes won't hurt

Currently listening to some demos of Eurorack synths. They sound really amazing. I'm probably not gonna get one of them as of now, but I'm probably gonna get a software recreation of one as a virtual instrument for doing composition and stuff. I've read that Celldweller uses them.

Do you guys have any plans for tomorrow? From what I've heard it's gonna be overheated just like today, so I'm probably gonna go for swim in the ocean. Galar is not as tropical as Alola, but I'll still find a lot of biodiversity down there under the surface.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mina_ashido_family_guy_11_26_22.png

That's a good idea. Here in Japan it's gonna be warm too, so I might as well go freediving in the Pacific Ocean to see what new creatures I can find. Maybe I'll find one of those orange dorid nudibranch sea slugs. They look pretty colorful and beautiful.
