This is a thread where, as the title implies, our avatars (from our galleries) are posting in an in-universe forum thread. You can drop in any time with pretty much any character you want, whether from existing works or your own OCs. Though most of it is done through forum posts, some "in-person" interactions between characters is also fine.
Even if this is a more casual RP, there are still some rules and general RP etiquette to keep in mind for everyone to have a good time and feel comfortable:
- NO GODMODDING. Godmodding is when you decide what happens to another player's character, and is generally frowned upon. In particular, avoid injuring and especially killing someone else's character; fighting is ok but let the other player decide if the hit connects. If your plot idea requires something to happen to a different player's character, you'll want to privately discuss this with them and if they're ok with that. This includes in-universe moderation.
- Be nice and respect other players' boundaries. Your character being mean or a jerk is one thing, but if someone gets uncomfortable about your behavior towards their characters, knock it off. Also do not force others into your story arcs; in general it would be a good idea to ask the other person first if they are interested, and plan it together if they are.
- If you have anything to say, ask about, ect. that is not part of the RP, you can put it under a spoiler tag [[spoiler: like this]]
- While almost any character is welcome, please avoid playing any real-life person who's mainly associated with controversies, drama and problematic behavior. We don't need that here.
- Have fun!
Ahh, console video games (or vidcons as I call them). the ultimate medium of expression, able to convey any emotion ranging from hatred to love, loyalty to fear, all in front of our eyes. Ah, and with lovingly crafted art, music, and the ability to control the action, vidcons are the ultimate combination of the high arts. While I tend to play the stoic, I will be the first to admit that vidcons haven driven me to cry, to scream and shout, to feel actual hate; such is the power of this force beyond our wildest reckoning. And here I am, before you, to temp your tongues with the taint of such a tantalizing topic.
And the Japanese, the true geniuses behind the world of video games. Pah, I throw my scorn upon such incompetents of the West who would mock the true art of the Japanese with 'games' such as Baldur's Gate and Madden. Perhaps it is that the West is not as intelligent as the East, but this is a matter for another day. Japan has given us such masterpieces as the Final Fantasy series, Star Ocean, Wild Arms, and of course, Arc the Lad. Yes, some of the finest vidcons in the world were created by Japanese. I come to you today to ask you in all earnesty, what is your favorite vidcon? I will reveal mine after the grand debate has illustriously begun, but not before the first poster falls victim to my plot of discussion.
In other words, this is a thread on an imaginary forum our avatars frequent. The topic can fluctuate, and its mostly just general discussion.

Work has been very hectic for me lately. I have to run these errands and drive my car around to pick things up. It's quite stressful for me. At least the weather is sunny here where I live, so that's a positive. Tomorrow I might watch a movie to de-stress. Glad you're doing great, Marnie.

Which film you have in mind?
Is it something special for April?

Not sure yet, still making a choice between Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves and John Wick: Chapter 4. Work has been stressful for me so I still haven't had time to think about it yet.
Don't worry, I'm sure you'll be able to choose one eventually. Sometimes making choices can be hard for me as well. Anyway, is there anything you guys are planning this weekend and next week?

We're probably going to have a little playful fun on Tama-April-Fool's Day! Next week, thatMario film comes out!
Obviously we'll do nothing too serious with our tricks, like I know that could be harmful if one gets in a bad mood about it.

That Mario movie looks really cool! I'm probably gonna watch it with my friends when I get the chance. Though it's probably gonna be more of a funny movie than a serious one.
Hopefully it's better than the 1993 live-action movie.

Lol! With it being so much closer to the source material, I believe it will be better!
Right sis, I feel that with Nintendo keeping a good eye on how it's made is also helping it be on the levels of decency compared to the live action film.

A lot of video game movies used to be really bad until quite recently. I mean, there's a reason Video Game Movies Suck exists.
Perhaps as times are changing, maybe filmmakers are catching on to why these movies had negative reception.

Good news. I was able to refine the adjuvants to a maximum of 200% efficiency based on the analysis I was able to gather from the test adjuvants. This is as far as they'll go, however, and any more power will require more advanced mana cores that are difficult to make.
Subject: Gems

- Known Inhabitants: Phos, Cinnabar (Cinn), Rutile
- Maximum Mana Adjuvant Decay Resistance Rate: 200%
- Gem's Homeworld (5.8 O): 0% - Ground zero for the Gems. No mana adjuvant required.
- Florentia (4.6 O): 120%
- Rui's Homeworld (4.1 O): 170%
- FATAL LIMIT: 3.8 O - In universes equal and below this, the decay rate exceeds mana adjuvant's maximum threshold for the user.
- Emma's Earth (3.51 O): 229%
- T-Doll's Earth (3.4 O): 240%
- Icarus' Universe (2.8 O): 300%
- Morgan's Earth (2.5 O): 330%
- Stefan's Earth (2.3 O): 350%
- Maximum Mana Adjuvant Air Purification Rate: 200%
- Teyvat (6.6 O): 80% - Warning: Elemental magic from Vision bearers and the Seven Archons will break the adjuvant if hit directly by it!
- OVERTAX LIMIT: 7.8 O - In universes equal and above this, high-degree particles overtax the air purification of the mana adjuvant for the user.
- Gensokyo (8.1 O): 230%
- PARADOX LIMIT: 9.0 O - Beyond this point, the mana adjuvant is rendered trivial and fails outright due to chaotic laws of physics.
I took out Gil and Tarvek's world from the list for the time being, mainly because the measurement of the mana adjuvant and the listed degree rating didn't match.

] Uh-huh! Hopefully things will get better with video game to film adaptations in this day of age.
There's still lots of great games out there that has potential to become great films! Even new installments that failed before could have improved sequels! aroo.
Creative differences and budget were some of the reasons why a lot of them flopped. That's becoming less of an issue nowadays though be warned, there still will be some recent stinkers out there.

When Dracula's Curse is manageable through grand melodies.Wonderful!
We've been doing pretty well. Since those slaver engines in Holstein were bombed, we've had a lot more free time to do what we want now. I, personally, helped fix up one of my old flying machines.

Oh, those are the machines that generate slaver wasps.OOC
If you don't know what slaver wasps are, they're parasites that make people obey the "Other."

Well, that sounds delightful.
I imagine the “Other” are equally splendid as well…

Ugh, don't I know it. She shot me in the back, you know. My father was infatuated with her, which explains a lot about my family dynamic now that I think of it.
Actually, it's getting late, so . . .

Happy April fool's day everyone! Who's ready for some funny tricks?
I remember last year, an unintentional one happened as blue text got messed up on here and Kiraritchi was frustrated with it. Muhahahaha!
Oh whatever, I just didn't like how it was just the one I had. Good thing it's fine this year.

x11 Yikes. Those are some very low/high numbers. If I may ask, what does the “O” stand for? Presumably it’s some sort of mana measuring unit, but still.
I’m not really sure if you want to go down the mana rabbit hole. It’s practically the opposite of science. On the other hand, they can work together occasionally.
And I suppose the low or high numbered universes are either too mana-loaded or they barely have any. I suppose ours would fall under “variable”. Normally it’s a piddling amount, but the Ark probably exceeds the “Paradox Limit” near its core.

Your cherished TVT servers shall EXPLODE IN THE NAME OF MY OWN EVIL, unless you pay a great ransom...
Guys, don't bother. They'll probably just vandalize a page or two instead and call it a day.
Checking in on this account after leaving the site, MAN that is a cringy forum post history. Daaamn. Never again.Blue text now also defunct due to apparent inactivity. Instead…

I knew time travel was possible on this forum, but 5 billion years in the future? That’s insane!
What’s all the hullabaloo? Oh, they finally came! The blue text is a friend of mine who runs a “gardener spaceship”. They pretty much go around the galaxy terraforming barren planets and colonising them. We have a mutual agreement that they can’t use any already inhabited planets, so as to keep any already endangered species less so.
Who’s this guy? Another robot? Let me guess, he’s watching the Andromeda Galaxy right now.
[Sarcasm Detected] Astute observation…what is your name/production ID?
Marlin. And from how absolutely posh you sound, I take it that you’re a captain of some kind?
That is correct. I am the AI placed in charge of the starship “Nebukadnezar”, although why it has no ship prefix I am not quite certain.
And what has become of the passengers aboard said ship?
