This is a thread where, as the title implies, our avatars (from our galleries) are posting in an in-universe forum thread. You can drop in any time with pretty much any character you want, whether from existing works or your own OCs. Though most of it is done through forum posts, some "in-person" interactions between characters is also fine.
Even if this is a more casual RP, there are still some rules and general RP etiquette to keep in mind for everyone to have a good time and feel comfortable:
- NO GODMODDING. Godmodding is when you decide what happens to another player's character, and is generally frowned upon. In particular, avoid injuring and especially killing someone else's character; fighting is ok but let the other player decide if the hit connects. If your plot idea requires something to happen to a different player's character, you'll want to privately discuss this with them and if they're ok with that. This includes in-universe moderation.
- Be nice and respect other players' boundaries. Your character being mean or a jerk is one thing, but if someone gets uncomfortable about your behavior towards their characters, knock it off. Also do not force others into your story arcs; in general it would be a good idea to ask the other person first if they are interested, and plan it together if they are.
- If you have anything to say, ask about, ect. that is not part of the RP, you can put it under a spoiler tag [[spoiler: like this]]
- While almost any character is welcome, please avoid playing any real-life person who's mainly associated with controversies, drama and problematic behavior. We don't need that here.
- Have fun!
Ahh, console video games (or vidcons as I call them). the ultimate medium of expression, able to convey any emotion ranging from hatred to love, loyalty to fear, all in front of our eyes. Ah, and with lovingly crafted art, music, and the ability to control the action, vidcons are the ultimate combination of the high arts. While I tend to play the stoic, I will be the first to admit that vidcons haven driven me to cry, to scream and shout, to feel actual hate; such is the power of this force beyond our wildest reckoning. And here I am, before you, to temp your tongues with the taint of such a tantalizing topic.
And the Japanese, the true geniuses behind the world of video games. Pah, I throw my scorn upon such incompetents of the West who would mock the true art of the Japanese with 'games' such as Baldur's Gate and Madden. Perhaps it is that the West is not as intelligent as the East, but this is a matter for another day. Japan has given us such masterpieces as the Final Fantasy series, Star Ocean, Wild Arms, and of course, Arc the Lad. Yes, some of the finest vidcons in the world were created by Japanese. I come to you today to ask you in all earnesty, what is your favorite vidcon? I will reveal mine after the grand debate has illustriously begun, but not before the first poster falls victim to my plot of discussion.
In other words, this is a thread on an imaginary forum our avatars frequent. The topic can fluctuate, and its mostly just general discussion.

Interesting...I've heard German writers have a world of their own, and it seems that's the case here, though sadly the only one I know very well is W. G. Sebald. I've read his book The Rings of Saturn after I've listened to my best friend's songs he did for a film based on the book. It's an amazing read, and, although I've yet to watch Patience (After Sebald), I recommend the film as well. I'll read the ones You've sent over when I'm done with my next painting.
If anyone's curious about this one (MieLePain)[1
] was saying, I got the translation right here! * Good thing I know my French pretty well!
Thanks babe [2
] Yo, what about that subject about Greek language? You said earlier "Not many people (should) know these languages nowadays" yet Kiraritchi mentioned that the alphabet is still often used for coolness. You sure it's not that known nowadays?
Stefan should be in Albedo's lab in Mondstadt about now, are you referring to this puzzle?
[1
] Wait, there's multiple Greek languages? Oops...
δεν πειράζει γλυκιά μου χαχα! Depending on the era and dialect, Ancient Greek might be totally incomprehensible even to a native Greek, so they're right. Ancient Greek has been forgotten about these days.

] I'm mostly fluent in French but I do know a little bit of modern Greek, Italian and Spanish. I think it's fun to learn languages.
I should pick up from you babe though I'm more interested in learning the language of Mother Russia!
There can be a lot of different dialects for the same language, from what I've heard. Been trying to learn Spanish, French, Greek, and Italian, though it's kind of difficult to learn something new, especially if you can't find time to practice.
Yeah, I've been interested in learning more about how languages evolved over time, including African languages. There are a lot of them, but the ones I'm most familiar with (due to having learned them in an online language class) are Xhosa, Zulu, Yoruba and Igbo. It's impossible to learn all languages, though.
Yeah, if I tried to learn all languages, my brain would probably overload.

Okay, now I understand why was that said earlier.
I haven't even heard of some of the ones Roberta mentioned.
Just when you thought you'd know them all, there's still a bunch of lesser ones to know about.
RE: [1]
Most of it is exaggerated, but not technically untrue. These papers often tell the truth but not the whole truth, if that makes sense. As in, leaving details out that would change the context if they were included.
E.g. the "Versailles Dungeon" wasn't actually beneath Versailles itself. It was just a private building found vaguely in that broad, general area. Not even an old building.
RE: [2]
We're talking about languages? That sounds pretty interesting. I actually know a bit of Greek myself from my education, though I mostly know how to read and understand Greek, rather than how to speak or write in Greek. I have a similar grasp of Latin and Arabic. As does Sturmvoraus, or so I'd assume. But my grasp of English, French, German, and Romanian is better.
Your average well-educated person here in Europa knows something like six or more languages, though I should note your average person here in general isn't well-educated like that. It's mostly for doing international work.

Yeah, there’s no need to RP. Basically, Collei would come to Stefan with 6 apples, and move them into a group of 1 apple, 2, and then 3, and she’d move one from the 3 to the 1, creating three groups of two. She’d explain that that applies to any number of apples, and that’s why any number plus the two surrounding it is divisible by 3.
I’ve learned a lot today. My hypothesis about Gold has been disproven, by her own (albeit quoted) words. I will be back to the lab soon.
Just a wanderer.Any odd value of n. And the quotient will be the middle value, because the distance from that middle value will have two in each direction (e.g. with 4 as the middle value (numbers 1-7), the number 2 is 2 less than 4, and the number 6 is two more than 4. You can rearrange two hypothetical apples from 6 to 2 in order to have 4 apples in each row. Repeat this process with different numbers until all rows have the same number of apples (in this example, 4).
Just a wanderer.Apparently I've made a blank post? No idea why...

Icarus already answered that for me, but yeah, I was referring to Ancient Greek, not modern
Makes sense for scandal sheets, honestly. Haven't gotten to reading the articles yet, but I guess I'll have to take them with a spoonful of salt.
Puzzle time once more! I've shared this one with Collei already, but here it is anyways:
For what n is the sum of n consecutive numbers divisible by n? Hint: start working with simple cases first (n=3, n=4 and so on), before you try to generalize.
I just read some interesting news from our troops stationed in Italy. Apparently, the Corbettite crypts of San Nicasio have some really old artifacts. As in, stuff from the 7th century AD! Apparently, according to the archeology team, it might give us some hints about how the "Greek fire" used by Hellenized Roman Empire actually worked; something we don't understand even today!
Wow, old Spark stuff can be weird. Only in our world, I suppose . . .
(OOC: The joke being that Greek fire
was an actual real life thing and not something Mad Science Comic™ made up.)
Finally, I got that computer homework done. Now I can go workout in the gym for the evening.
Congrats! I know how stressful homework assignments like those can be. You deserve a break.

Wow, the full moon is out again!
With the sky so clear tonight, it shines so beautifully! aroo.
Do wish the wind didn't pick up on the afternoon today though. In spite of how much more sunny it was, it's was actually colder than this morning.

Close your eyes, and you'll leave this dream~

Stefan's gone to Tevyat already, but I'd be interested in it, if you don't mind.
Edit: speaking of PDFs, I should really work on my "Multiverse for Dummies" script, shouldn't I?
Edit: just got back for lunch, and sure, I'm interested!
