This is a thread where, as the title implies, our avatars (from our galleries) are posting in an in-universe forum thread. You can drop in any time with pretty much any character you want, whether from existing works or your own OCs. Though most of it is done through forum posts, some "in-person" interactions between characters is also fine.
Even if this is a more casual RP, there are still some rules and general RP etiquette to keep in mind for everyone to have a good time and feel comfortable:
- NO GODMODDING. Godmodding is when you decide what happens to another player's character, and is generally frowned upon. In particular, avoid injuring and especially killing someone else's character; fighting is ok but let the other player decide if the hit connects. If your plot idea requires something to happen to a different player's character, you'll want to privately discuss this with them and if they're ok with that. This includes in-universe moderation.
- Be nice and respect other players' boundaries. Your character being mean or a jerk is one thing, but if someone gets uncomfortable about your behavior towards their characters, knock it off. Also do not force others into your story arcs; in general it would be a good idea to ask the other person first if they are interested, and plan it together if they are.
- If you have anything to say, ask about, ect. that is not part of the RP, you can put it under a spoiler tag [[spoiler: like this]]
- While almost any character is welcome, please avoid playing any real-life person who's mainly associated with controversies, drama and problematic behavior. We don't need that here.
- Have fun!
Ahh, console video games (or vidcons as I call them). the ultimate medium of expression, able to convey any emotion ranging from hatred to love, loyalty to fear, all in front of our eyes. Ah, and with lovingly crafted art, music, and the ability to control the action, vidcons are the ultimate combination of the high arts. While I tend to play the stoic, I will be the first to admit that vidcons haven driven me to cry, to scream and shout, to feel actual hate; such is the power of this force beyond our wildest reckoning. And here I am, before you, to temp your tongues with the taint of such a tantalizing topic.
And the Japanese, the true geniuses behind the world of video games. Pah, I throw my scorn upon such incompetents of the West who would mock the true art of the Japanese with 'games' such as Baldur's Gate and Madden. Perhaps it is that the West is not as intelligent as the East, but this is a matter for another day. Japan has given us such masterpieces as the Final Fantasy series, Star Ocean, Wild Arms, and of course, Arc the Lad. Yes, some of the finest vidcons in the world were created by Japanese. I come to you today to ask you in all earnesty, what is your favorite vidcon? I will reveal mine after the grand debate has illustriously begun, but not before the first poster falls victim to my plot of discussion.
In other words, this is a thread on an imaginary forum our avatars frequent. The topic can fluctuate, and its mostly just general discussion.

Apologies for waiting so long to reply, but that is good to hear!
I've seen a few regime changes take place in my own time. A surprising number of them were led done by the odd band of itinerant heroes, some doing better than others. Though the fact that you're putting in the effort to establish a new, better government tells me you guys know your stuff better than many others do.
In my defence, they seemed to rebuild on their own just fine after I had left them and gone elsewhere.
Tryggvassen, I don't know how else to break it to you, but we rebuilt the states you overthrew. "We," as in the Wulfenbach empire. That was us cleaning up your mess.

] I swear school just exists in cartoons like ours cause we have to have some educational stuff in our lives, not to mention I bet some people (*cough* moral guardians *cough*) would complain otherwise.
Well with adventures like ours, things certainly can make it more exciting (and life threatening in my case).
Hey, don't forget Kiraritchi when we pwned at the talent show with our kickass song! That's one of great moments of school lol.
I don't think I've had dreams before. Nehema's usually the one that...
—ANyways, I think that. This plan will work. Even if I won't like it.

) Horror? I wouldn't exactly. Call this world horrifying. (I'd say it's horrifying how happy the upper Layers are.)
It's like understandable why it wouldn't be from your perspective. Then again, I'd deal with Eversion myself over dissection any day (like so gross-out).
One one these days Moriritchi, we gotta see what that world got in store. It sounds so interesting to me!

When Dracula's Curse is manageable through grand melodies.
AI with access to the console
Just got up, and saw the half-devoured corpse of a Venusaur right next to where I was sleeping. There must be a really large carnivorous Pokemon somewhere in the vicinity. I'm lucky that I wasn't also a meal.
That's even more scary than dissections, yeesh. Glad you're okay.
Yeah, you're lucky to be alive at the moment. You should try to stay on your guard and find somewhere safe for the moment.

When Dracula's Curse is manageable through grand melodies.
In the wild, there are a lot of Pokemon that eat other Pokemon. Not sure how a carnivore could attack and kill a Venusaur head-on, however.
I'm sure a Metagross could, but they don't appear in the jungle from what I've read.
Yanmega, on the other hand, do appear in the jungle sometimes, and they're quite ferocious. Perhaps the carnivore in question might be a Yanmega.

She's crazy!" - Dawn Today, I discovered that the commuting services will be on strike next friday when I'll be having my exam. Thankfully, I have a driver's license, but not all of my classmates do. Aeugh
Still nothing compared to this

If it disagrees with experiment, it's wrong.

] Agreed, that would have freaked me out. aroo.
Mind if I asked what's this strike about? That's usually a serious situation.
Of course and it sounds like things will be hellish for non drivers.

To be honest, I'm not sure what kinds of directions would be meaningful for you. A starmap, maybe? Cause I don't think "Europe" means anything to you, besides maybe Jupiter's moon, right?
[2]
Environmentalism, and low wages. Low wages because don't ask me for the details I don't know them, and environmentalism because there's a group of activists whose thing it is to glue themselves to streets (and I assume rails now, too). Usually, I'd be all in for activism focused on the environment, but at this point, the group is no longer sending the message "climate change needs to be stopped!", more like "We like blocking roads because we want attention".

If it is, where in Europe?
Stefan's version of Earth has very similar geography to our Earth, so I might be of help. If my memory serves me right from one of my earlier conversations with him, he's somewhere in the central part of Europa. In the orange part of your map labeled "Germany." Then again, I could be wrong.
Also, if that's Stefan's Europa, now I'm quite curious. Are those supposed to be the political borders? If so, those are weird. The German states have all blobbed together into one, but don't include the Low Countries, Austria, or Prussia? The one called "Russia" doesn't include the Rus heartland? And how did Transylvania end up part of Rumania?
(OOC: I remember him linking to his university's website. But I can't really speak on his behalf. / EDIT: NVM, he seems uncomfortable with it.)

Not Tropeworthy: Evil RedheadYeah, I linked to my uni's website once. Maybe that was a little irresponsible, in retrospect
Alright, time to see if my history knowledge is up to par... Take this with a massive heap of salt please, I'm not a scholar.
- Are those political borders?
Yep
- The German states have all blobbed together into one, but don't include the Low Countries, Austria, or Prussia?
Once upon a time, those states have realized that not having unified borders was stupid and that all the border controls are superfluous if they joined together, so they did. As for why Austria and Switzerland aren't part of it... good question. Chances are not even the people who made that decision originally knew why
- The one called "Russia" doesn't include the Rus heartland?
As far as I know, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus and Ukraine didn't approve of Russia's dysfunctional economy, so they decided to separate. I believe some of those countries might be part of the European Union, a union meant to give its participants economic stability, cultural exchange and some common legislation.
- And how did Transylvania end up part of Rumania?
No idea, but maybe this
can help?

If it disagrees with experiment, it's wrong.I just got a probably very bad idea, which might put this account at risk. I'm pretty sure I could talk this out with the TVT mods if the account did get banned, but:
Stefan's account has been receiving connection attempts from other universes pretty much ever since he got it up, with me (thankfully) being the first. I've been managing and rejecting all the connection attempts so far, but should I take a gamble and let one through?
Oh no
If it disagrees with experiment, it's wrong.

That said, where’s that anatomy “textbook” I can give to Rutile?
