So tired today. Didn't really get that much sleep last night, and now I'm feeling fatigued. Which is dangerous because I'm still exploring the underwater cave system I'm in, and I don't want to drown. Have you ever been in a situation where you almost drowned?

And by the way Ica, if you’re wondering about Stefan, his first day in our world’s been good so far, as he’s quite in awe about the many places around the island, especially the school. His meetings with the Gems has been better than I expected, even though it turned a lot of heads…

That said, I found Red Beryl getting his measurements and taking a good look at his clothes being a little funny. As of now, we’re going to take a rest, it’s night time here, and we’re going to give him a more detailed tour of the school tomorrow…

Alright, I'm back. Wow, that was one hell of a visit... I wish I could show you my homeworld, Phos, but seeing how you've already visited a universe with warships, maybe you have a pretty good idea already?

Edit: I'm not worried about Stefan! Well, maybe a little about his health cause it's the first time that we're doing this kind of degree stabilization procedure.

I'm doing it For Science! I might get some kind of lung sickness, but I don't mind, cause it gives you more data on the subject.

I think those are warships from Stefan's world, maybe his version of the 1930s or 1940s or something.
Look. Our world has a European continent like Stefan's with the same rough history, but we're still in an alternate world. A world with the Spark and a world without the Spark are gonna develop technology in very different ways. Plus, our world is still in it's 1890s!

Hmm . . .

Pic #1 looks like a Japanese destroyer. I don't know which one it is, though.
Pic #2 looks like a Kaiser-class German battleship.
Pic #3 is a United States Fletcher-class destroyer. I think.
Pic #4 is some kind of United States aircraft carrier. Maybe it's a USS Long Island (AVG-1)? I'm not sure.
I have zero clue what pic #5 is.

I'm fine now. Just got back to the cave entrance at the surface of the lake. Found a lot of interesting artifacts down there, including some statues and pottery. I think they were deliberately put there as gifts to the dead by a local civilization in the past. I took some photos of these relics and sent them to researchers back at home.

Quite complex. A lot of narrow passageways I thought I wouldn't be able to get through, but I somehow did. There are a lot of spacious areas, though, with stalagmites and somehow a mix of both freshwater and seawater, perhaps coming in from an ocean outlet. No new Pokémon discovered yet, though I did find some new interesting fossils that don't seem to be of Pokémon that have already been discovered.

   Watsonian: Screwy stuff happens when computers are linked to other dimensions.   

   Doylist: This is 4th degree Warp-realm fuckery. None of your concern.   

Yeah, what the Castle said under "Watsonian." I got access to Google when my computer connected here. I don't know what it means with the "Doylist" thing it said, though. Or why it linked to some random web series I've never heard of.

Saw the photos you took of that underwater cave system, Penny. These photos look great! I think photography is a skill you're very good at.

Well, anything digital is something I'm pretty good at. Even if I'm unfamiliar with it at first I learn about it and get used to it quickly.

Wonder if the fossils you found are for Dark-type Pokemon in the past? Maybe they'll end up being Rock/Dark if we find ways to bring them back somehow.

Why do the Pokemon brought back from fossils have to be part Rock-type?

Technically they don't, the Galar fossils can be resurrected into part-Dragon or part-Ice-type Pokemon. I also think there might be some fossils in other regions that could be resurrected into non-Rock Steel-types. But the majority of fossils end up as part-Rock-types when brought back.

Hey. Do you guys remember that book by Lt. Gen. Lehmann that I am supposed to write a foreword to?

I've finished the 3rd chapter ("Laying Siege") a while ago, and I'm almost done the 4th chapter ("Without A Baron").

There's this one section of the 3rd chapter I thought I'd share. So, my father had just gave every commander a message to "clear up" rumors about the Lady Heterodyne and the Other. For context, the last time my father had met Agatha Heterodyne, she was being possessed by the Other, so he spent a big chunk of this battle assuming that she just is the Other. She's not, by the way. But that's the message he sent to his troops.

Which leads to Lehmann writing this:

Now, near the end of the 3rd chapter Lehmann leaves this little note (Lehman, p. 46):

For context, "Princess Anevka" here is really Lucrezia Mongfish — the Other — in disguise.

And my father had actually been infected by one of her slaver wasps.

I believe this is what literary critics call "Dramatic Irony."

I feel like I'm missing context... maybe I'm just dumb and bad at grasping networks of social relationships, though. Either way, sounds like a gripping story.

[1] I don't think I need to renew my weapons license yet - I got my license for the Battleslab in October last year, so I still have over two years.

[2] I wish I could tell you what the fourth wall meant in this context. Usually, "breaking the fourth wall" refers to fictional characters acknowledging the reader or the real world in some capacity, but as far as I'm aware, all of this is real.

Also, has the second visit to the Gems happened yet?
