This is a thread where, as the title implies, our avatars (from our galleries) are posting in an in-universe forum thread. You can drop in any time with pretty much any character you want, whether from existing works or your own OCs. Though most of it is done through forum posts, some "in-person" interactions between characters is also fine.
Even if this is a more casual RP, there are still some rules and general RP etiquette to keep in mind for everyone to have a good time and feel comfortable:
- NO GODMODDING. Godmodding is when you decide what happens to another player's character, and is generally frowned upon. In particular, avoid injuring and especially killing someone else's character; fighting is ok but let the other player decide if the hit connects. If your plot idea requires something to happen to a different player's character, you'll want to privately discuss this with them and if they're ok with that. This includes in-universe moderation.
- Be nice and respect other players' boundaries. Your character being mean or a jerk is one thing, but if someone gets uncomfortable about your behavior towards their characters, knock it off. Also do not force others into your story arcs; in general it would be a good idea to ask the other person first if they are interested, and plan it together if they are.
- If you have anything to say, ask about, ect. that is not part of the RP, you can put it under a spoiler tag [[spoiler: like this]]
- While almost any character is welcome, please avoid playing any real-life person who's mainly associated with controversies, drama and problematic behavior. We don't need that here.
- Have fun!
Ahh, console video games (or vidcons as I call them). the ultimate medium of expression, able to convey any emotion ranging from hatred to love, loyalty to fear, all in front of our eyes. Ah, and with lovingly crafted art, music, and the ability to control the action, vidcons are the ultimate combination of the high arts. While I tend to play the stoic, I will be the first to admit that vidcons haven driven me to cry, to scream and shout, to feel actual hate; such is the power of this force beyond our wildest reckoning. And here I am, before you, to temp your tongues with the taint of such a tantalizing topic.
And the Japanese, the true geniuses behind the world of video games. Pah, I throw my scorn upon such incompetents of the West who would mock the true art of the Japanese with 'games' such as Baldur's Gate and Madden. Perhaps it is that the West is not as intelligent as the East, but this is a matter for another day. Japan has given us such masterpieces as the Final Fantasy series, Star Ocean, Wild Arms, and of course, Arc the Lad. Yes, some of the finest vidcons in the world were created by Japanese. I come to you today to ask you in all earnesty, what is your favorite vidcon? I will reveal mine after the grand debate has illustriously begun, but not before the first poster falls victim to my plot of discussion.
In other words, this is a thread on an imaginary forum our avatars frequent. The topic can fluctuate, and its mostly just general discussion.

Feel refreshed now. Finally finished She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Now I'm caught up and ready for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania this weekend.
Tee-hee. I can't wait!

Wow what a winter…
Sorry for my inactivity on this forum guys, I had to work with Cinn and Antarc for much of the winter…
It seems like there’s new people here, with all the weirdness they bring as well…
That said, I did some solo adventures after my winter work’s done. I came upon an interesting world here, shown by these collection of photos I got with my mech here:

Oh. Well, it's not like you can't learn these things.
Welcome back, Phos! Nothing wrong with being inactive, especially if work demands it. Stefan's found an interest in Tevyat, I think he's a bit lonely, other than that I've been too caught in maintenance and commission work to give this thread any attention.
I see you've found interest in warships? Did any of them try shooting you down?
Maybe it's just a misperception I have. Yeah, there are people in his world... I'd rather not talk on his behalf, though.
Well, you are right with your guess, but can you please not talk about it in a public thread?
Alright, sorry.
Sorry for the odd response. I just have some personal issues going on IRL. Albedo is a friend of mine - he's from Tevyat, and he's a professional alchemist. And I haven't done much with him recently, so I thought I'd pay his lab a visit in my spare time... That's about it.
and obviously OOC, the fact that I feel called out for throwing an SI into Tevyat lmao

If it disagrees with experiment, it's wrong.
So like now the thread's up and running again while we're at work no less.
Don't speak too soon, you (Moriritchi) don't want to jinx it with another drought.
I think I'm having a problem with a lack of motivation, as in I don't feel motivated enough to accomplish anything. I feel like I need help from other people to get things done.
Everyone kind of struggles with that. I sometimes feel that way about really technical subjects such as math or physics. It's not fun and it can be stressful. On one hand, you want to get the tasks done, but on the other hand, it seems very daunting and thus deters you from wanting to complete it.
Yeah, I try to avoid procrastinating, but sometimes it's almost impossible for me if the task is too difficult.
Marnie, we are here to support you. If you have any difficult tasks you need help with, please visit us for help. We can talk about a lot of different things. We also have free popcorn.

I found some old notes of mine from when I first came to Mondstadt and was still learning human social structures. They’re written in Khaenri'ahn (my first language), so I can’t post them in full, but they are very amusing. Have a few highlights, translated.
Ahem. “Humans do not share labs, do not borrow from their homes. This is ‘theft’.” “Asking someone you don’t know to hold something and then walking away is frowned upon, even if you plan to come back.” “Not everyone has a codename.”

Just a wanderer.
“Not everyone has a codename.” Which is true, some people don't feel to need an alias. *
Personally, code names usually isn't my thing unless it's required. [1
] Mmm, free popcorn is always a nice treat!

Ooh, translating between different languages is my thing as well. I know several different languages, including Japanese, English, French, Spanish, German, Chinese, Korean, Italian, Hebrew, Arabic, Portuguese, and Indonesian. In addition, I'm also learning Ainu, Mongolian, Xhosa, Igbo, and Hawaiian. I've also been trying to translate some of the Ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphic Tablets that I've been scanning online to see what they mean. It's kind of difficult but I've been getting there. (*Sigh*) It's very sad when a language dies out. With a language's extinction, the culture associated with it dies as well.
Mina, I thought I was the smart one. Seriously, there are a lot of endangered languages, and I've been trying to fund efforts to preserve them so they don't become extinct. Otherwise integral aspects of essential cultures are lost forever. That's just as scary as an important species of life becoming extinct.
Sometimes things die out no matter how hard you try to preserve them. It's always worth trying to keep them alive, but success isn't always guaranteed.
Anyway, on a different note, I've been listening to older orchestral trailer music from the late 2000s to early 2010s. Two Steps from Hell has a whole catalog of orchestral music, and I find their tracks from around 15 years ago or so to be very beautiful. It's certainly more interesting to me than the current brand of hybrid "heroic orchestral" content studios have been dishing out lately in conjunction with the releases of Marvel movies such as Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. I guess sometimes older music can be nostalgia-heavy for me.

Well… It seems like you’re as lonely as I was, Stefan?
If that’s the case Stefan, maybe visit our world sometime? It’s not as lively as Tevyat, but it’s quite a beautiful island we live on… Plus, it can help you relax if your life’s a bit hectic…
Yo buddies, still tropin’?
I've been very busy today, which is why I didn't post much (sorry!), but I have a little window of a break tonight.
Ahem. “Humans do not share labs, do not borrow from their homes. This is ‘theft’.” “Asking someone you don’t know to hold something and then walking away is frowned upon, even if you plan to come back.” “Not everyone has a codename.”
Those remind me of some of my class notes from back in university. If I have the time to do so, I might dig them up tomorrow to share.
Interesting. Personally, I know German & Romanian for day-to-day stuff, Latin, Greek, & Arabic from university, English & French for foreign affairs work, and ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics from, erm, long story short I did win that fight.
(OOC: Most of the languages are based on WoG statements
on what a typical educated person knows in the setting, except Egyptian which is in reference to this page

Not Tropeworthy: Evil Redhead
Boy that's a lot languages to learn, like to add some of that to your gratuitous French babe?
Je pense que je suis d'accord avec cette langue telle qu'elle est * Coffretchi. Learning new languages takes a lot of time and effort which I'm not sure if I'll have the same dedication for another one to learn.
[1]
Sure, I can try. I'd just have to test for my compatibility - I live in an universe of slightly higher degree than Icarus' homeworld, so hopefully that shouldn't be an issue?
[2]
Whoa, where did you find the time to learn all those?
I only know (confidently) German, Polish and English, (somewhat) French and Italian, and (by a stretch) Latin.
[3]
There's this one thing called "Halt mal kurz" or "Hold that for a sec" that I've read about once. It's about deliberately giving someone something to hold, with no intention of taking it back, for the sole purpose of exploiting their reaction. Admittedly, it's kinda funny, even if it makes the victim look stupid.
Good morning to all! The subject of languages is definitely intriguing and reminds me of this old topic we participated in. [1

] That's just Milktchi's way of describing going to the restroom, she likes talking like a baby. Hee hee. aroo.
She's older than all three of us and yet we're all listed as adults on the Tama wiki. Strange isn't it?
Well at least Milktchi was able to get out of wearing pampers. [2

] Another thread you guys invaded? Time to bump that sucker up.

Kaveh recently purchased 14 keychains. The profits were supposedly going to help fund treatments for sick children in need... We live in Sumeru. Healthcare is free. He's done this before, getting duped by handmade keychains promising children in poverty things the government already gives them.
