This is a thread where, as the title implies, our avatars (from our galleries) are posting in an in-universe forum thread. You can drop in any time with pretty much any character you want, whether from existing works or your own OCs. Though most of it is done through forum posts, some "in-person" interactions between characters is also fine.
Even if this is a more casual RP, there are still some rules and general RP etiquette to keep in mind for everyone to have a good time and feel comfortable:
- NO GODMODDING. Godmodding is when you decide what happens to another player's character, and is generally frowned upon. In particular, avoid injuring and especially killing someone else's character; fighting is ok but let the other player decide if the hit connects. If your plot idea requires something to happen to a different player's character, you'll want to privately discuss this with them and if they're ok with that. This includes in-universe moderation.
- Be nice and respect other players' boundaries. Your character being mean or a jerk is one thing, but if someone gets uncomfortable about your behavior towards their characters, knock it off. Also do not force others into your story arcs; in general it would be a good idea to ask the other person first if they are interested, and plan it together if they are.
- If you have anything to say, ask about, ect. that is not part of the RP, you can put it under a spoiler tag [[spoiler: like this]]
- While almost any character is welcome, please avoid playing any real-life person who's mainly associated with controversies, drama and problematic behavior. We don't need that here.
- Have fun!
Ahh, console video games (or vidcons as I call them). the ultimate medium of expression, able to convey any emotion ranging from hatred to love, loyalty to fear, all in front of our eyes. Ah, and with lovingly crafted art, music, and the ability to control the action, vidcons are the ultimate combination of the high arts. While I tend to play the stoic, I will be the first to admit that vidcons haven driven me to cry, to scream and shout, to feel actual hate; such is the power of this force beyond our wildest reckoning. And here I am, before you, to temp your tongues with the taint of such a tantalizing topic.
And the Japanese, the true geniuses behind the world of video games. Pah, I throw my scorn upon such incompetents of the West who would mock the true art of the Japanese with 'games' such as Baldur's Gate and Madden. Perhaps it is that the West is not as intelligent as the East, but this is a matter for another day. Japan has given us such masterpieces as the Final Fantasy series, Star Ocean, Wild Arms, and of course, Arc the Lad. Yes, some of the finest vidcons in the world were created by Japanese. I come to you today to ask you in all earnesty, what is your favorite vidcon? I will reveal mine after the grand debate has illustriously begun, but not before the first poster falls victim to my plot of discussion.
In other words, this is a thread on an imaginary forum our avatars frequent. The topic can fluctuate, and its mostly just general discussion.

Eh, who knows. Usually with me and my boss, she can't fire me (I'm the best detective on the commission), and I can't quit (I have nowhere else to go), so whoever is more stubborn gets their way. And that's usually me. She's not a pushover either, so we have gotten stuck in gridlock on more than one occasion. And as for distractions, I never actually do much of my office work anyway.

] According to others of us toons, if it isn't crazy it's slow paced.
As long as it there's happiness and a fun time to be had, I see nothing wrong with that. aroo.
Isn't that pretty much the point of this place?

When Dracula's Curse is manageable through grand melodies.[1]
I dunno! I just know even my sister can't read anything in my head!
Just got back from watching Avatar: The Way of Water at the local movie theater. I think movie-watching is a great activity to do if there's nothing else to do. Anyone else been to a movie theater recently, and if so, what movies did you watch there?
"This girl named Dawn is endlessly complaining about what she calls 'Mega Evolution Absentia'. She's crazy!" - Dawn
Is it actually better than the first one?
We haven't been to the theaters since October when we seen Black Adam which was way better than expected.
The frigid weather isn't playing in our favor at the moment for us to want to go there.
I think it's even better than the first one, though I think the movie has too much water. I would highly recommend watching it if you are able to get a chance.

(x5) I haven't been to the movies in a while, but I have seen some plays in the theatre recently. I think movies are fairly new here.
Also, how did you watch that film if you live all the way in Paldea? Wasn't it made in America?
(x2) Not everyone wants to destroy the universe, and even many of those who do want to, can't.

Not Tropeworthy: Evil Redhead![]()
I guess cinemas in Paldea were able to get prints of the movie imported here from America, though I'm not exactly sure on the process behind it.
A movie is kind of like a theater play, except pre-recorded and edited for view on a screen.

"This girl named Dawn is endlessly complaining about what she calls 'Mega Evolution Absentia'. She's crazy!" - DawnSometimes, it's more than that:
This right here is all CGI, made using computers. The right programs can let you add in extra details or effects into scenes, or make completely new scenes from scratch. For instance - obviously you wouldn't want real actors in Sprite Fright, so you make the "actors" as 3D models and only record their voices.
And on the topic of computers, any news from Albedo and his research?
Most movies bring a lot of happiness and excitement for those who watch it! aroo.
I know most people like getting up close in theater screens but I like the back seats as I'm more comfortable there.
Yeah, not to mention being too close may not be good for your eyes. Watching them on a home screen is good too. Also, movies can come in forms of a lengthy cartoon that has a bigger budget than tv episodes.

Interesting. It's not a concept I'm sure anybody in Teyvat needs, right now, but in the future, perhaps. Now that the Sakuko Decree has been repealed, maybe I can see some other nations' plays. I mean, I could have done so before, but getting in and out of Inazuma was such a hassle even with my being a member of the Tri-Commission.
Like I said at the time, I had, and still have, a long list of other projects, and Jean has been pretty strict too. Work comes before personal projects for me, unlike a Calvary Captain I could name.

What’s a Paldea? We’re worldwide and yet I’ve never heard of one of us scaring a human from there. - Monster Under The Bed!Shadow
Aren't Pokemon those cute creatures that people like to collect and become their friends?
Yep and some of them look kinda like us! aroo.
I wish they could exist in our world, it'd be nice to have pals like them. At least I can always resort to seeing them in games and that long lasting cartoon series.
Well that's an interesting plush of you brother (that price tag is absurd). I'm pretty sure I've seen higher quality ones that cost less lol like these ones.*

We certainly look much better here, I should probably sue the company who made this ugly plushie of mine. It's a good opportunity to get some more money. What do you think, brother ? (Now that I've seen it, those two goody two shoes look even more ugly as plushie. And that monkey look even more freaky than he usually is).

FI just received a private message from a dinosaur.
A dinosaur with knowledge of the Internet and a really bizarre vocabulary that I don't understand.
I am officially freaked out.
