This is a thread where, as the title implies, our avatars (from our galleries) are posting in an in-universe forum thread. You can drop in any time with pretty much any character you want, whether from existing works or your own OCs. Though most of it is done through forum posts, some "in-person" interactions between characters is also fine.
Even if this is a more casual RP, there are still some rules and general RP etiquette to keep in mind for everyone to have a good time and feel comfortable:
- NO GODMODDING. Godmodding is when you decide what happens to another player's character, and is generally frowned upon. In particular, avoid injuring and especially killing someone else's character; fighting is ok but let the other player decide if the hit connects. If your plot idea requires something to happen to a different player's character, you'll want to privately discuss this with them and if they're ok with that. This includes in-universe moderation.
- Be nice and respect other players' boundaries. Your character being mean or a jerk is one thing, but if someone gets uncomfortable about your behavior towards their characters, knock it off. Also do not force others into your story arcs; in general it would be a good idea to ask the other person first if they are interested, and plan it together if they are.
- If you have anything to say, ask about, ect. that is not part of the RP, you can put it under a spoiler tag [[spoiler: like this]]
- While almost any character is welcome, please avoid playing any real-life person who's mainly associated with controversies, drama and problematic behavior. We don't need that here.
- Have fun!
Ahh, console video games (or vidcons as I call them). the ultimate medium of expression, able to convey any emotion ranging from hatred to love, loyalty to fear, all in front of our eyes. Ah, and with lovingly crafted art, music, and the ability to control the action, vidcons are the ultimate combination of the high arts. While I tend to play the stoic, I will be the first to admit that vidcons haven driven me to cry, to scream and shout, to feel actual hate; such is the power of this force beyond our wildest reckoning. And here I am, before you, to temp your tongues with the taint of such a tantalizing topic.
And the Japanese, the true geniuses behind the world of video games. Pah, I throw my scorn upon such incompetents of the West who would mock the true art of the Japanese with 'games' such as Baldur's Gate and Madden. Perhaps it is that the West is not as intelligent as the East, but this is a matter for another day. Japan has given us such masterpieces as the Final Fantasy series, Star Ocean, Wild Arms, and of course, Arc the Lad. Yes, some of the finest vidcons in the world were created by Japanese. I come to you today to ask you in all earnesty, what is your favorite vidcon? I will reveal mine after the grand debate has illustriously begun, but not before the first poster falls victim to my plot of discussion.
In other words, this is a thread on an imaginary forum our avatars frequent. The topic can fluctuate, and its mostly just general discussion.

we arn't exactly from The Future our realities are just older and have had more time mine being much older than most
As far as I know, there are no interdimensional standards, but they would definitely be very helpful. Should we settle on a new standard right here?
...unless this
happens, of course.
So, how do we define the new standard? I suggest one sidereal
Earth orbital period, as counted by an atomic clock, starting off at year 1 at the next New Year's Eve. Any complaints?

You're right, there is a problem with those worlds. But - no matter the standard, there would always be some world that would suffer from it, so ideally, you would want to affect as few worlds as possible, right? And since a lot of worlds (over 70%, I'd estimate) have an Earth with a similar orbital period, in my opinion Earth's orbit is a pretty good standard.

Nice Ica! Can't to see how this translator works!
I don't have a good feeling about this. What happens if the Lunarians notice this "translator"? What if they target us, or Sensei and the others because of it???
It'll be fine, Cinn, we'll just hear them so we can try to stop these constant attacks, then we'll all be okay, right?

I'll be honest Ica, Phos is lucky to find someone like you, always fragile to fight, but too lazy to do important jobs. Somehow, you and these beings here have made them more involved in their work, something that most of us have a difficult time to do.
As for this device... Thanks, I just hope nothing goes wrong with what we’re doing here...
Yo buddies, still tropin’?[1]
Well, you're in for a joyride! Over here, you'll see things that you won't see anywhere else, like 1.5pc long spaceships, reality warping, or travel using (presumably) The Power of Friendship. Fasten your seatbelts!
x3 Alright, keyboard incoming. I'm sending a rover, too, in order to help with moving - please leave it somewhere outdoors once you're done, that way I can pick it up again after I'm done with the delivery.
Right, almost forgot. The AI just went through its last set of speech samples, so hopefully it should be ready to translate. Do expect one or two kinks, though.
By the way, what are you planning to do with it, corner a Lunarian and ask them for information? Going to the Moon might be a bit risky, especially considering the Lunarians' plans to cover the whole moon in Gem dust, and more recently, the dust of my "metal birds", too... somehow.
Also, don't worry about the translator breaking, I have a backup of the AI stored in the homeworld registry, and I can easily replace it. Might give you a backup translator too, just in case.

If it disagrees with experiment, it's wrong.
