While I tend to play the stoic, I will be the first to admit that vidcons haven driven me to cry, to scream and shout, to feel actual hate; such is the power of this force beyond our wildest reckoning. And here I am, before you, to temp your tongues with the taint of such a tantalizing topic.
And the Japanese, the true geniuses behind the world of video games. Pah, I throw my scorn upon such incompetents of the West who would mock the true art of the Japanese with 'games' such as Baldur's Gate and Madden. Perhaps it is that the West is not as intelligent as the East, but this is a matter for another day. Japan has given us such masterpieces as the Final Fantasy series, Star Ocean, Wild Arms, and of course, Arc the Lad. Yes, some of the finest vidcons in the world were created by Japanese. I come to you today to ask you in all earnesty, what is your favorite vidcon? I will reveal mine after the grand debate has illustriously begun, but not before the first poster falls victim to my plot of discussion.

I've just arrived in the Ark's hangar, and I'm having trouble maintaining a connection to the main computer because of all the radio chatter. Feel free to send your remote body over whenever you want to, Urist, it's gonna take a while before we (the Ark and me) set up a proper conference room.

I just found out that we’re not allowed to go in there at all. Why is that?

Just one problem: how do I get in? I’m technically a part of the Ark, albeit a very…tenuously integrated part, and I’m pretty important, so I should come to this conference. But…I don’t have legs.
Why not use some extra arms to move? You’ve got plenty of those, and I’m sure they wouldn’t mind being used as legs for a bit. (By the way, the Organiser looks a bit like a giant Wiwaxia
, but with about 30 claws/arms in concentric rings, and a ring of eye-camera-things around the edge. Also a “mouth” in the middle, because there had to be some way human parts got in there, right?)
I’m the oldest and most well-travelled drone still in service, so I should come as well.(all of the Ark’s drones are in a sort of hive-mind with the main Ark. Also, I’m dropping the all caps thing for now because there’s some problems with it on here.)

Icarus wants to negotiate an alliance with roughly the following conditions, and is willing to change some laws if the others disagree on them:
- Defense: No member of the alliance is allowed to attack any third party (any other civilization or person), unless they've been attacked by that third party first. If that happens, they may ask the other alliance members for military support. I'd imagine that the Ark doesn't really like that proposition?
- Cultural exchange: There will be portal connections maintained between the alliance members' homeworlds, for anyone to pass through (e.g. someone from the Ark can visit Icarus's or Urist's homeworld, though in Icarus's case, I think a VR headset for any visitors should suffice?)

OOC again, if a simulation is indistinguishable from reality, does it really matter that it's called a simulation? Also, Icarus, being made from matter as we know it, shouldn't have been able to enter that simulated world without noticing that something's off, so... how do Retcon?
Not that I know of, no... If you don't mind, I can try to send a probe over to your world to see if our worlds share a similar type of existence.
x3 Proxima C- wait, didn't I build a moonbase - oh, your world's Proxima, obviously! Sure, will do, though I don't think I'll need defense anytime soon. Also, there isn't a lot here to explore besides servers and some old ruins, so if anyone wants to visit my homeworld's public simulation, you'll probably need VR rooms or something. Sent the blueprints over directly, lemme know if you need help with them.
