In the newest episode of Ross's Game Dungeon, Ross tackles the action-puzzler Quadralien.

Huh. Almost two weeks have passed since the last Game Dungeon video, and here's another one. That's unusually fast (though it was made for Earth Day).
Anyway, in this episode, Ross takes on A New Beginning.
Man, what an interesting concept for a game ruined by some startlingly poor direction choices.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Ross's apartment apparently has a bad mold problem, and he's out of the video production business until it's remedied.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!""These Charles Bronson motherf'ckers aren't giving up, are they?"
oh lord
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Ross's Game Dungeon returns with a look at The Crew.
Hmm. If I enjoyed driving games more in general, I might get that, although the end-of-life problem for online-only games rears its ugly head.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"The latest Dead Game News
The meat of this vid is about Steam's plan to discontinue support for older OS's. He admits it's not a problem now and in the updated description concedes that it might be as apocalyptic as he fears it may become. But he believes it's a sign of bad things to come for future games on Steam.
Oh, and the possibility that Ubisoft's claim that the future of gaming will be "streaming-only" coming true scares the shit out of him.

Disgusted, but not surprisedRoss has a crusade. I don't mind his crusade, but he does get a bit single-minded about it. My biggest concern about streaming games is what he said: lots of the U.S. has crappy Internet. I myself barely have acceptable Internet by international standards. I don't see how they're going to win at whatever they're playing if they lock out a third of their market.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Ross goes on another fantasy adventure with Requital.
That voice acting, though!
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!""Remain silent" is truly the greatest one-liner of all time.
Now I wonder if the developers behind Tyranny played this game.
For those who have not played it, the player character frequently has the dialogue option “glare silently”. If you pick it often enough, other characters will even comment on it.
Disgusted, but not surprisedSo, it's been a while. Some good news: Ross has moved out of the moldy apartment and into a new place, so things should start going smoother for him.
More good news: he's released two Halloween Sampler episodes of RGD.
Upsetting news: he released a Dead Game News video a while back.
And I know what you're thinking: "When's Freeman's Mind coming back?!" Ross says next month. You don't have too much longer to wait.

The Dead Game News one was from a month ago.
Disgusted, but not surprisedYeah, but it wasn't posted here. Could have phrased it better.
I like all of those series, but I'm seething with anticipation for Freeman's Mind.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"For the (post-)Halloween episode of Game Dungeon, Ross takes a look at the Breakout game Death's Hangover.
Ross wages a futuristic holy war in this year's Christmas installment of the Game Dungeon, focusing on Apocalyptica (which isn't really a Christmas game, but close enough).

At long last, it's time. Freeman's Mind 2 returns with Episode 8.
Yaaaaaay!
...at this pace, it'll take just about as long as the first Freeman's Mind did. Even if it was for a good reason.

Damn, that 15 minute episode goes by way too fast. I have to ask, though: is he modding the game? In the room with the exploding barrels, you're supposed to turn a valve to open the water flow, not blow up the pipes. And I didn't know you could shoot out the transformer to cut the electricity in the toxic maze. I've played through this game at least twenty times, so maybe I'm just that bad?

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Presumably he's doing it like with the first, and modding a few things to make the story flow better.
Is it weird that I actually enjoy Gaming Dungeon more than Freeman's Mind? Not that I don't love Freeman's Mind — I do. But I always find myself feeling just a bit disappointed when the new vid in the channel is a Freeman's Mind vid instead of a Gaming Dungeon episode.
