As I said, nobody knows. NATO has had several opportunities to attack, but most of the time they just fly around over the city.
Meanwhile, Al Jazeera’s Sue Turton reporting from Ajdabiya confirms that some of the rebel fighters were wearing British made body armour. “This is consistent with claims made by the government that they would provide assistance to the rebels,” she said.
All 1000 sets of body armor given to the rebels were apparently British surplus. No idea if the UK government has any more surplus armor.

The name is spelled several ways. Like the G-man, it just depends on which transliteration you're going with.
I think the news focus is gonna stop covering Libya in lieu of Syria very soon. That's both good, cuz it takes a microscope off the good guys, but also bad for the same reason with the bad guys.

I'm no military mind but my first thought was also napalm.
The term "Great Man" is disturbingly interchangeable with "mass murderer" in history books.Might it be said that Gaddafi has probably exceeded Hitler and Stalin in becoming the most apt example of completely blatant cartoon villainy in modern-day real life?
Number of casualties aside, at least Stalin was in the business of actually governing with a semblance of stability, and Hitler actually had ideals (albeit very misguided) he was trying to realize.
By cartoon villainy I mean For the Evulz, basically.
Seriously, he's like reading the trope page of 0% Approval Rating like a bible.
Or there's a Man Behind the Man who is manipulating his utter stupidity like a puppet!
That is a good lesson to learn.
The other problem with bombing targets in Mis. is that it is a built up area. With the shit storms from bombing campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan they are probably being extra cautious. You only have to miss once or twice to make a big mess even a near miss with a guided munition is nasty.
Who watches the watchmen? No wonder so many people are asking the US to be at the forefront again.

They may not actually be all that inactive - it's a warzone so there's not much reporting. Also it's just good sense for NATO not to reveal much that they got up to, especially what Gaddafi's troops did that worked and what didn't, or even how many enemies they destroyed, 'cos it can all be turned into useful intel for the regime. It's frustrating for us, but there you go. We certainly hear about Gaddafi's latest atrocities - it's important information that gets everyone behind the Libyan cause, but often creates the impression that Evil Is Winning and Nato is useless.
I can't figure out how the regime can still get tanks into Misratah though. Why do they not all get blown up on their way there?
