Can't you just defeat them and get them to obey and submit to your might?
"Sweets are good. Sweets are justice."Get who to submit? The Pakistanis? How many lives would that cost?
The term "Great Man" is disturbingly interchangeable with "mass murderer" in history books. You should try Tchad. Some friends of mine in college volounteered there.
It's astounding. They're so poor I think the dirt in my shoes is richer. They... The stories I heard of that place...
Fucking unbelievable...
Pray to the LORD you will never have to fight there.

"Sweets are good. Sweets are justice."^^^^There are cracks appearing. The Taliban are suffering desertions for the first time and even from their own twisted perspective they are losing the moral high ground; their increasingly ruthless tactics are alienating true extremists and they rely more and more on mercenaries and unsavoury types for their manpower. Zeal for their cause is slowly collapsing; soon, the Taliban may well be rendered manageable. The Taliban are being demoralised, they are losing manpower simply by virtue of war exhaustion.
EDIT: Ok, sorry. Off topic. On the subject of the Libyans, I don't see how the Libyans can win it from here on the ground without active air support. Aren't they outnumbered 10-1?

The term "Great Man" is disturbingly interchangeable with "mass murderer" in history books.Divide and Conquer is certainly the only way forward now, but so far Gaddafi seems to be doing that more to the rebels than they are doing to Gaddafi. And you can say all you want about undying yearning for freedom; kill and terrorise enough people and the rest give up. And as cities fall silent Gaddafi will be able to move more and more soldiers east.
The term "Great Man" is disturbingly interchangeable with "mass murderer" in history books.Saw a disgusting video of a Gaddafi supporter in Britain saying he was willing to send in bombs and turn himself into a suicide bomber for Gaddafi.
I just had to write a comment calling him a piece of horse shit for wanting to cause indiscriminate destruction, and express my shock at all the people calling the rebels 'traitors' . I don't care if I get harassed anymore, someone's gotta say something or else the vocal minority's going to start looking like a majority. A couple of people already wrote 'THIS IS PROOF THAT MILLIONS LOVE GADDAFI' and 'You white wannabe traitors you are worse than the unbelievers if you hang this man then we will kill you all'
It's My Country, Right or Wrong taken to the extreme, and it disgusts me.
Anybody want space lobsters?Time is on the Libyan rebels side. The longer they last, the stronger they will become. At some points (months from now, I imagine) it will be their turn to go on the offensive. Because no one wants this
to happen. So stop being so impatient.
Meanwhile, protests are still going on in Egypt

I'm done trying to sound smart. "Clear" is the new smart.^^Thats what the cult of personality does to people. And De Marquis? I hope you're right. I'm not impatient so much as scared for the rebels.

The term "Great Man" is disturbingly interchangeable with "mass murderer" in history books.I think they're tougher than that: http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2011/02/25/world/middleeast/map-of-how-the-protests-unfolded-in-libya.html

I'm done trying to sound smart. "Clear" is the new smart.I'm just more worried about international support for Gaddafi growing. So many people have no idea what he's done for the past 42 years and just ignore it all because they think Western countries are forever evil and any opposition against them is justified no matter what.
Btw, if anyone wants to see the video, here.
Indeed Gman has been steadily bleeding supporters from the get go. I would not put it past his current goon squads to decide the flaming burning letters on the wall are bright enough and either capture him and turn him over in a plea deal sort of way. or to just ice him and say they have joined the rebels and hope for the best. Really going with the technical approach as was noted is a desperate attempt on his part. He probably has enough stashed fuel to hold Tripoli for a few days at best.
Who watches the watchmen? There is hope then, but its a question of whether Gaddafi dies from war exhaustion before the rebels die from enemy firepower.
Alright, maybe things aren't as bad as I thought.

The term "Great Man" is disturbingly interchangeable with "mass murderer" in history books. Why don't we just post a kickass bounty for whoever brings Gaddafi's head, and wait for one of his mercs to take his chances?
Put a public hit on the guy, scare the Hell out of him. That would surely encourage him towards a Villain: Exit, Stage Left.

You exist because we allow it and you will end because we demand it.Shinra: Why do you think I like referring to him as Gman. The Rebels makes them sound more like the Rebel Alliance from Starwars. Revolutionaries makes me think of the bloody French revolution.
I don't know about the rallying horde. I think they should be wary of defectors being part of a disturbingly clever Xanatos gambit from Gman.
Who watches the watchmen?

Unfortunately we can't win without permission to chase them into Pakistan, which we won't be getting.
