I know of someone who does cocaine, but he also does LSD, and some type of poison or household that causes hallucinogenic effects or something. I hear of him every now and then.
I know of one other person who does cocaine and is a pretty hardcore alcoholic whose liver is in pretty bad condition now, sadly enough, but he said he would rather die than live or something. I haven't talked to him in awhile, he just went his own way.
I know someone who does Meth now and went from cocaine to meth (I don't fully buy gateway-drug related theories) but yeah, hes all sorts of fucked.
And I know someone who went from cocaine to heroin and managed to stay off heroin for several years now. Its pretty difficult for him and its amazing he can be off of it considering how bad the withdrawal is.
I get a kick from not inserting such chemicals into my body and replace the deprivation with copious amounts of Call of Duty:Black Ops.

Well he's talking about WWII when the Chinese bomb pearl harbor and they commuted suicide by running their planes into the ship.

I know a few of my friends do cocaine and other heavy drugs but the I've never tried anything rougher then marijuana.
the internet is my drug, and the party never ends.
Is using "Julian Assange is a Hillary butt plug" an acceptable signature quote?

Portugal recently legalized cocaine and heroine and stuff. Usage of it has gone down because they're focusing on rehabilitation instead of ridiculous incarceration. Hell, the government actually gives addicts heroine to make sure the druggies aren't sharing needles, and simultaneously killing the rebellious "doing drugs is cool and sticks it to the man" attitude.
O_o This is so daring and awesome and HOLY SHIT WHY DON'T WE ALL DO THIS NAW!
What? It's true, why send heroinomanes to jail where they are criminalized and punished and made even more needful of drugs, instead of caring for them in rehab? Why do people go to jail for consuming substances that are harmful to them? Isn't it a call for aid?
'''YOU SEE THIS DOG I'M PETTING? THAT WAS COURAGE WOLF.Cute, isn't he?Oh boy. Lets look at the LA sheriff's in the late 70s. If someone was going from withdrawal from heroin, they just threw him into a cell with the others. If it was too bad, they would strap him to something. It was the feeling that they chose to go on heroin and it wasn't the state's job to get involved on personal matters.
Rehab only works if someone wants to get off drugs and most people on drug charges have committed crimes, generally things related to prostitution or robbery, to stay on drugs.
I'm ambivalent in this regard. To me, its a choice they made, and while it is an extraordinarily poor choice, the drugs were made illegal because they were danger and they, well, did it anyways.

So, do you know people who do cocaine? Do you know people who have tried it and are actually are bored by the stuff and it doesn't thrill them at all? What is the value of a "kick", a "thrill", "fun"? What to do about quick, easy immediate fun tat costs no effort. Such as this very wiki. It is so addictive...
So, what do you get your kick from?
