Well this is interesting. The artwork of a Spell from this week's Sevens features a long-forgotten manga-only monster from R
. They really are much better at keeping track of this stuff than I thought.
My thoughts exactly. I've been very impressed by the amount of super-obscure stuff the Collector's and Premium Packs have been releasing. That implies to me that Konami are actively keeping track of anime and manga cards that have NOT been released in real life going all the way back to the original series (Flying Elephant!), something I thought only uber-geeky Yugipedia users like yours truly were losers enough to care about.
Gekko used like, 3-4 other Elf monsters, and a lot of Equip Spells, because his deck also features a unique strategy of turning his Equip Spells into monsters and power them up for an OTK.
I wonder if we're going to see a few of those other cards of his getting printed.

Time Thief Perpetua's pringle version.
The art looks like it's for a Spell but it's god-tier so who cares.

What's "pringle" mean again?
It's now 2 years to the day since the last (most recent) episode of YGOTAS aired. If he does decide to drop the series, I hope he decides to give himself and us some closure.
The sad, REAL American dichotomy![]()
Fan Nickname derived from one of Rata's videos (referring to the Effect monsters that aren't Rituals or Extra Deck monsters as
mentioned) and likely borne of some desire to distinguish them from their difference colored counterparts (AFIAK effect monsters in the game's context means monsters with effects, so all the above are Effect Monsters outside of cases like Lanpholinkus, Pearl and Gaia Knight)

Well, as long as he's alright.

Gotcha.

The sad, REAL American dichotomyAt last the final Selection 10 boss monster is revealed
, and as guessed by basically everyone, it is indeed Dracula himself!
And ve vants to vuck your opponent's vlood!
More seriously Dacul here is a boss monster that can steal two of your opponent's monsters on a normal summon and can tribute 2 monsters to revive himself provided a monster form the opponent's GY is ummoned. Vampire Sucker, the cute link, has a Stormforth effect with Zombie World so you could in theory remove 3 maybe 4 of your opponent's monsters from their board.

Same, since they have the unique conundrum having to support Cologne herself (Rank 4 Xyz), her Number (Rank 8 that specifically needs DARK monsters) and her already printed cards (which support Normal Monsters). It leads me wondering if the backrow is gonna have to be the one that forces the playstyle. (I'm kinda suscpecting Normal Pendulum monsters with Level modulation gimmicks or Level 4 vanillas that are needed to summon Level 8s)
In the manga, her field spell Doll House causes the Doll Monsters to keep "evolving" every time they are destroyed, up until they becomes more grotesque and their Level becomes 8.
I wonder if we'll get Doll House, or will they just put the evolving effect into the monsters themselves, while also giving the base monsters an effect that treats them as vanilla in the deck so they can be summoned by Box of Friends.
.
You see, what Cologne did in the manga was that when all 4 of her base Level 4 Doll Monsters are destroyed, Doll House Special Summons 3 Level 6 "Customized" version of the base monsters, then when those are destroyed, Doll House Special Summons 2 Level 8 "Re-Customized" version, which are the ones she overlay to summon Franken.
But the thing here is that Doll House itself is kinda weird. It's treated as both a Field Spell in the duel, and an actual surrounding environment at the same time. The card is never seen, and is implied to have been active even before they start the duel. There's another doll (Grandpa Demetto) above the Doll House that's supposed to be the one remodeling the destroyed Doll Monsters, basically acting as Doll House's effect, but he appears to be physical, as he was able to physically interact with Cologne herself. The entire Doll House ends up getting completely burned down by the flame that Cologne herself ignited in the middle of the duel, as if it's an environment and not a Field Spell.
Basically the manga just keeps flip-flopping between "it's a field spell" and "it's an environment", and it's mostly the latter, to the point where I'm wondering if we'll even going to get it as a card.

So, I've been reading about YCS Atlanta, 2018
and this. This is confusing me.
"He started with a hand of Timegazer Magician, Mythical Beast Bashilisk, Abyss Actor – Curtain Raiser, Allure of Darkness and Wisdom-Eye Magician. He started with Allure of Darkness, drawing Oafdragon Magician and Purple Poison, banishing Timegazer. He then activated Purple Poison and used the effect to destroy it and Special Summon it."
How was the bolded done?
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.Doesn't that also require Linkross to do a lot right now? As well as revivable tuners?
...Man, it's crazy since O-Lion banned. Hell, many of those bans. I mean, Destrudo is not a surprise. I wonder if hitting Linkross is enough that a lot of them will be way weaker and could come back. Is Plaguespreader on the chopping block too?!
Also, I gotta finish up more custom cards and bump the other topic. At least my joke set. They're basically silly versions at the moment.
Shadow?
That said I can see the reason why they went the way they did. The LM effect seems build as a means of using the ED as a Toolbox, and manipulating the amount of tokens you have the levels of your monsters would in theory allow you to access a wider array of monsters such as Trishula and the like.
The 2 problems here is that most of the Good Xyz are Rank 4 and thus are harder to summon because of the tokens while most of the good Syncrhos are either Banned or presumably in the Level Range MPG want to go for for Synchro Plays (Jacusladin is a Level 9, Their other one is a Level 7 and While Crystal Wing is 8, it needs a Synchro monster as material anyway) anyway (meaning they sooner stock up on Level 7 and 9 Syncrhos at best), and that their token management leaves a lot to be deserted, with the Splashable Dracosac doing the heavy lifting. Like if they had a field like Boss Stage and if Aerial Recharge wasn't a trap they might had fared better as a combo toolbox deck (that could prolly put Calamities to use), but they don't and it is so they suck at using their Level manipulation as a result.
In a way it's also a simialr issue with the LM aspect of the Gagaga cards, which was also not helped by the cream of the Xyz crop again, generally being Rank 4 monsters.

The 2 effect could have been nice if it was a Quick Effect. The 3 effect definitely should have been a Quick Effect to at least compensate for how garbage it is. Maybe should have been a Book of Moon, too.
