It's only been one day but I have already had enough of this terrible nightmare rabbit's presence on my island.

Agreed. This guy makes me feel more uncomfortable than all the psycho Villager and mafia boss Tom Nook memes combined.

Well I hate the rabbit for a different reason - he interrupts fishing spawns!

Anyway, I swear there's a trope that fits this game's "regardless of the player, their first five villagers will always be the same in personality types".

I must say, I'm deeply enjoying having half the things I dig up / fish / chop / etc turn out to be eggs. Those thirty iron pieces would've taken long enough to collect even without it, thanks.

The collector in me likes the "find and make all the DIY parts/recipes" angle, but at the same time with the early game being so collection/money heavy for progression, it forcibly taking over the means of collection is painful.

At least the Bunny DIY items fetch a decent price.

It's interesting that the only personality types you're not locked into getting are Snooty and Cranky, the two "mean" ones. Which would be understandable if they were actually mean.

Somehow I still haven't gotten the DIY Recipe for the watering can. Flimsy one is fine but the limited usage annoys me

Also yeah those eggs are annoying and I don't care for Bunny Day furniture, I just sell the eggs

I had a hunch the first personality types were locked, even the ones you get from the islands. Sad, I very much like the Crankies.

I'm enjoying the egg hunt. Let's see if I can complete the furniture set before the 12th .

Meanwhile, I finished setting up the three houses Nook asked me to build today. I don't care for Easter furniture so I've been selling whatever eggs I dig up in my search for fossils and ignoring the eggs you get from trees.

It's definitely worth more to craft something out of the eggs before selling them. I hate the set (mostly, the bookbag is ok), but holding onto the eggs so you can craft a bunch of the items at once and give them to the Nooks for a mint is pretty lucrative.

It doesn't make up for this event slowly killing my interest in my favorite thing to do in Animal Crossing (fishing) but it is a Silver Lining.

I think somebody mentioned trying to get the DIY recipe for medicine earlier?

One of my villagers just gave it to me by talking to them after getting stung. So that's cool.

You can at least use trash for DIY recipes and sell the stuff you craft. Tire Toys were even the hot item for me a few days ago.

I love how the snapping turtle, unlike any other fish or bug, is just put out in the open when you place it. No aquarium, tank, holding cage, hell not even a runner. Just an animal that could in theory run whenever/wherever it wants to but doesn't.

In other news, I have adopted one as a pet and am now keeping it in my room

So one of my neighbours, Mitzi, has this really cool kitchenette thing with a sink and a stovetop and an oven... if anyone knows what I'm talking about is there any way I can get that?

If you attempt to interact with it, she should tell you what the item is called. At least my neighbors do that.

The Able Sisters are finally opening their shop in my island tomorrow... still haven't gotten the furniture for those three villagers though...

x3 If that's the iron kitchenette, I've had the DIY recipe for it for days now, but I can't craft it. You need four wood and three iron nuggets, which is fair enough, but also an ironwood dresser and a cutting board, neither of which I currently have any access to.

Oh, and you can get the recipe as part of the Wildest Dreams DIY, purchasable from Nook's Cranny.

I'm planning to get enough eggs to craft every single Easter item to claim whatever reward you get for doing that, maybe decorate a room of my house with it all and then invite people over to gawk at my massive lack of good taste, then focus on getting the good spring seasonal items (the cherry blossom stuff). Maybe have a flower viewing if I get enough of it.
