Such a fun little simulation game. Anyone play this? Oh and Animal Crossing 3DS is coming out as a launch title for the Nintendo 3 DS.
I loved the original and Wild World to pieces. City Folk was dissapointing because of lack of new stuff, so I parted with it. I hope the 3DS game changes enough stuff.
Well for one thing, you become mayor in that game. So I'm assuming there will be enough differences. I really loved Wild World. I kept all my neighbors in my town. Never letting them leave after Loco moved away.

I loved the gamecube and DS versions of the game. I had two main characters that I played and two other I just kept around. Ted and Bob. Bob went out and collected things like bugs, fish, and fossils. I liked completing those bug hunts while I played as Bob. She ran absolutely everywhere. Ted would walk through town with one of her many parasols. I occasionally made her run for things, but for the most part she walked everywhere. Ted was best friends with the Able Sisters.
The Able sisters are probably my favorite characters in the game. They're porcupines which are adorable and I like the little stories Sable will tell you if you talk to her enough.
^Oh god...Some rat I liked to have bug catching contests with when I played as Bob moved away. I made an effort to keep them all there after that.

I let Axel move away, and I never saw him again in any game. =( But Bluebear is my favorite, if only because I've had her in all my towns.
I've had Yuka in all of mine either at the start or sometime down the line. My favorite neighbor is probably Vladimir though. I mean he's a pink tough guy bear with a Russian name. How could not love that?

This and this. This seems like an interesting change.
I want to be able to lead a rebellion against Nook.
It's not a launch game.....
My mistake. Either way, it's coming out for the 3DS.
So I can become Bob the all powerful mayor...I wonder what that will entail.
I wonder if this will be permanent, and what Tortimer thinks...
After you become mayor, Tortimer loses it and becomes DARK LORD TORTIMER . Cue unexpected genre change.
To be honest, I felt like I was the one taking care of my town in Wild World. So I kind of felt like mayor there.
Very true. Those idiots can't even pick weeds themselves!
I had a dream about this last night—you could pick which personality you wanted a villager to have, but started out with only 4 townies. Able was your secretary, and Tortimer was still around to relay your decisions.
I loved Wild World the most, if only because it was portable. I got soooo attached to my neighbors. Especially the grumpy dogs. ;___;
My favorite neighbors are Scoot the duck, whom I have in both the original and City Folk, Chevre the goat (original and Wild World), Cyrano the anteater (Wild World only), Annabel the "anteater" (pangolin really, and only in Wild World), and Drift the frog (who's my islander in the original). Yaaaaay!
I haven't played in a while. No longer am I a slave to the Nook.
Just re-bought the GC version. Gotta say Coco is one of my favorite villagers. Gyroid bunny. . .
Brings back memories of the GC "Gyroid Face" glitch. Not a No Fair Cheating as some people seem to think it is, but still kind of enjoyably creepy.
I LOVE that glitch! It was cute and creepy and unexpected and AWESOME! And it looked like a Re Dead. I miss Hornsby, really nice and cute too.
Is it weird to say that the GC Animal Crossing was my favorite simply because the music in it completely blew CF's music out of the water?
The first AC had the island (which I miss), but more importantly, it had A) actually defined acres on the map, and B) towns actually had some friggin' grass in them. None of this "grass turns to dirt" nonsense. Also, having 15 townies was pretty awesome, but not essential.
