I always kinda wanted to get into last stand, but I don't know anyone to play with and am hesitant to just jump in with complete strangers.
Steam Tag is the same as on here.

not just vehicles either, she kinda chews up everything with that weapon. I love fusion/melta guns for that reason. they're meant for anti-vehicle purposes, but they're quite effective against everything.

XP granted for befriending a giant magical spider!I just beat the Imperial Guard Campaign last night. Killed Kyras in under five minutes.
Grabbing the hero upgrades that boost squads makes the guard so powerful it isn't even funny. I literally had about a hundred or so guardsmen with plasma guns and stormtroopers armed with melta guns as well as a baneblade, Bernn, Adrastia and Merrick with the artillery auto cannon.
All that coupled with Castor's METAL BAWKSE reinforcements meant everything in my path was wrecked.
Do not be so quick to make foolish offers, Daemon. Araghast too once thought I would be an asset to his cause. Look what has become of him.Chaos. Varius' ability to cause a zombie apocalypse on your enemies is just too fun.

Wouldn't all your guardsmen die in one shot when Kyras does that fire breath thing though?

XP granted for befriending a giant magical spider!Surprisingly no. They all rushed in to shoot him up close, and they all avoided the death ray. The only time I had to reinforce was whenever he'd throw asteroids or summon bloodletters.
Do not be so quick to make foolish offers, Daemon. Araghast too once thought I would be an asset to his cause. Look what has become of him.I used Kain because you can get set-up-less weapons by level 2, and I got a Heavy Bolter on the first level. Free suppression early on was great, and with the aforementioned Lascannon you get from the final Gift, Kain was doing the more damage to Kyras than all my other heroes.
Sorry, I can't hear you from my FLYING METAL BOX!not to mention that between the life drain from stam and the fire aura from strength, a maxed out Eliphas is putting out a good amount of residual damage. Not that anything should be alive long enough for that to matter, but yeah.
On another topic, does anyone else feel that the Orks super unit, the Battlewagon, is terribly underwhelming compared to all the others?

XP granted for befriending a giant magical spider!I don't usually play the actual multiplayer... I get beat a lot. >_>
@254
Actually, from what I've played so far the community is actually really good. I got some tips on what builds to use for Lord General (sniper, mainly), and we talked about the upcoming Space Marine game. The worst problem I've had with people is simple distance causing lag.
But yeah, Last Stand = very fun. I'd be willing to join anyone playing it.
"The fact that your food can be made into makeshift bombs alarms the Hell out of me, Scrye." - CharlatanI just got off a 4 game losing streak. I can't play guard for my life, so that was a bit expected. But then I was trounced by some orks while playing eldar, who I'm best as. Not fun.
Read all of my fanfics!I've never understood Eldar play. Then again, I can't play at a level that I can win with anything, so...
Although I was playing against an Easy AI today on a the 2P Calderis Map with the little bubbles you start in? I just moved up a crapton of Guardsman, and bottled them up with Multilasers, and capped the entire map but one point. If it had actually been a human they might've been able to make a Webway Gate out and sneak behind me... would that actually be a good strategy?
"The fact that your food can be made into makeshift bombs alarms the Hell out of me, Scrye." - CharlatanMy eldar strategy is to lure enemy heavy infantry into places they can't retreat easily from, and then use webway gates to spring banshees on them. And then melt away from counter attack. It works very well against marines and orks.
Read all of my fanfics!Banshees are the goddamn devil. End of story.
Honestly, I think regular multiplayer would be fun, but I can't learn because 90% of the people out there know what they're doing and kick my ass before I can figure it out.

Alrighty, it's obvious that we have tropers that play this, and we should organize games. I've got an idea on how to do that.
One of the features they added was what I believe to be built in IRC chat, or at least something similar. One of the features is the ability to type in any channel name, say /join TV Tropes, and you'll arrive at the channel, or, if it doesn't exist, you'll join it. The game also automatically opens the chats that were open when you quit the game last.
TL;DR: We use the chat to organize games with tropers that may not be on our Steam Friends list, and perhaps even just chat about the game in general. I know I don't have everyone here. We just need a standard channel name.
