Nothing villainous about the current picture: Femme Fatalons

Seriously. It's a woman hugging a man. She's got long nails. There's nothing to indicate that she's a villain at all, despite all the emphasis the description puts on this type of nails usually indication villainy for both males and females.

For starters:

Yzma's long sharp, red-painted talons

Maleficent; note the striking similarity between her nails and the crow's talons (except for the color)

The Fairy Godmother from Shrek2. Surprisingly, they're a delicate pink rather than the more typical red.

I agree. The second one shows evil, beauty on the part of the villainess, and the clawlike nails the best.

[up][up] I like the idea of super-exaggerated, but, those claws extend from her fingertips, rather than being long fingernails. Not really Femme Fatalons.

She's on the trope page, and given that clawed gloves are allowed...

Hmmm. Then it would appear that we have a definition problem. It might be a good idea to put the Image Pickin' on hold and sort out the definition, first. I think that there's a substantial difference between "wears clawed gloves", "has some sort of claw-like appendage on the ends of the fingers", and "has normal hands and fingers but chooses to keep exaggeratedly-long fingernails".

[up][up] She is on the page under Comics. The comic book version has fingernail-claws  *

. The movie version is different. And, perhaps claw gloves are "allowed", but things that technically count frequently make a bad page image, if it is a borderline or unusual example.

The comics Deathstrike rodney linked to appears to have "natural fingernails kept exaggeratedly long". Plus, we have Wolverine Claws for

Characters that fight with multiple blades attached to their hands or fingers to emulate gigantic metal claws. The blades can be actually attached to their limbs, stuck on a glove or gauntlet, or actually be a variation of bladed brass knuckles

Yeah, comic lady deathstrike has metal finger nails that are very long, but still finger nails. Movie deathstrike, not so much.

Also, classic comic Lady Deathstrike just has long pointy fingers with no nails. She is a weird example. The trope is more about "long but natural nails" isn't it?

She is. She counts, but only one version of her does.

Probably best to file her example as Depending on the Artist, given that the under-nails version appears in the comics as well.

Do Femme Fatalons imply a Femme Fatale? If so, our options are narrowed down a lot further.

That said, if they don't imply that, and if we end up going with a Maleficent pic, I'd reccomend a caption along the lines of "she's no Femme Fatale, but some would regard her as being in quite a position to be one."

I'd like either Maleficent or Deathstrike.

My advice would be to split the page if Deathstrike only applies sometimes. "Scary looking symbolism" and "lethal weapons" are different tropes.

Oh, we've already got Wolverine Claws. Well, that should probably get some good redirects.

The "Deathstrike in fancy duds" pic looks like a good example. Here's another one.

And the very fact they are going "Schlick!" indicates that they are Wolverine Claws, not Femme Fatalons.

Ok, clearly this one needs definition work before we're going to get anywhere with the page image. I'm going to lock it now. and make a TRS thread for the trope.
