YES.
What do you need, then? I'd actually like to be a sort of Intrepid Journalist (Though given the age of character I had in mind, maybe more like an Intrepid Blogger?), but I will go with a victim who gets drawn in more than they ought, should, or maybe even like, to be.
Hey! Read my fanfic: HereI need at least one victim, one reporter, and one detective. There can be more though. And yes,you can be the first reporter. As a reporter though, you can't be the kind that sits in his or her office and waits for news to role in so you can be on tv.
You have to be investigative.
Blogger works,too.
The detective really needs to focus on catching me,but only within the boundary of the law.
The victim can be angry about their loss(I would if I lost a child),sad, they can investigate as well,or if they want to go on a vendetta and try and get revenge against the man who took their son away from them, they can.

So... Yes to Investigative Blogger, then? ('Cause the character I have in mind is a teenager and all... Though I guess some anonymous freelance writing, or even under an alias, wouldn't be out of the question...) And I never intended to be a "I'll just wait for news" kind. Those kind are boring. ;3
Hey! Read my fanfic: HereKaden Masters, writer of the blog "The Mastermind", where he writes under the name "Micheal M. M.", often just signed "MMM", which is said "triple M" by most site frequenters.
Hey! Read my fanfic: Here

On October 3,2011,America was stunned to hear that a boy of six years old had been kidnapped. They interviewed the frantic father. "I heard a noise in the night, but figured it was nothing and went to sleep. When I woke up,hhe was gone! Only a jigsaw puzzle remained on his bed." The man began to sob. The camera turned to the reporter."Who is this new criminal? And when will he be stopped?"
That's the premise. A murderer is striking the large town of Rosesville.
The murderer will leave clues to the puzzle and the victims and detectives must solve it to end the murderer's rampage.
The rules are that you must be either a victim,a private detective,or a cop.
I'll be the murderer. I'll lay the clues out so you can piece together a puzzle, kind of like a suspensful, edgy detective show.
Your goal:Catch me.
Who's in?
