Taking a closer look (as well as at the party itself), and I think I'll go for a Ninja. You did mention the need for more melee classes, but I don't really want to run a stock build, and like I said earlier, I'm not comfortable running my shield build until I look into it a bit more.
I figure, with a high enough Dex and Wis, any Ninja should have close to 20AC, and if I can work out using sudden strike effectively, it should work pretty well I think.
I'll try to get a character sheet finished finished for tomorrow afternoon. If any of you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them.

Pathfinder RPG is an entirely separate system. It's intended to make conversion easy, but it's important to note that it puts everything at a power level averaging 1 level higher than 3.5, with the originally-stronger classes improving less than the originally-weaker ones.
It also has a few major rule changes.

Infinite Tree: an experimental storyWell, yeah, it's pretty good. My point is just that it's not exactly intended for use in a 3.5 game.
Infinite Tree: an experimental storyHm. Maybe when I get around to running that oneshot, I'll do it in Pathfinder.
Infinite Tree: an experimental storyI was looking through a bunch of the Pathfinder stuff, and was wondering if it were alright if we get some of the mundane items there. Specifically, I like the Masterwork Backpack(50gp, 4lb, gives wearer +1 STR for the purpose of carrying stuff). Could be useful for me as I'll need to keep a light load for when I become a Scout.
Helpful Scripts and Stylesheets here.I think Pathfinder's mundane items are intended to be about on par with 3.5's.
Infinite Tree: an experimental storyHey, I finished my character. I believe I have all the main parts worked out. Here it is:

@ Cygan: Okay. I knew that you have shopping today, so being able to make it for any portion of the game works for me.
@ Lunatix: That's a pretty awesome set of rolls, and the character looks solid and ready to go, except for three things.
1. The feat Weapon Finesse has a requirement of Base Attack Bonus +1, which Ninjas do not have at first level. They have Base Attack Bonus +1 at second level, though, so you could take it when we get another feat at third level, but for now Shiina will have to use another feat.
2. The bonus to AC that comes from a ninja's Wisdom modifier is not natural armor, but a seemingly untyped bonus that applies to both your touch defense and your flat-footed defense as well as your regular AC. That will bump your Touch AC up to 17.
3. This one might be a little inconsequential, but Shiina does not have a backpack. She might want one, though I could just rule out a need for it, like I did with trail rations and a waterskin.
Aside from those small details, it looks great.

For the feat, I would suggest either Two-Weapon Fighting or Improved Initiative, which would often guarantee that you can use Sudden Strike on at least one opponent. Since feat gain is normal for a ninja, though, I would suggest taking both feats pretty soon, though the order is up to you.
And you can apply the extra damage from Sudden Strike to any attack that is made while the conditions are met, so yes, both weapons would get that bonus.

OK cool. Rogue first level, then 2 sorcerors, 1 rogue etc etc
There are too many toasters in my chimney!
