Oh, right, you mean that I could already just have both a Scythe and Guisarme and draw whichever, right?
And also, you said retraining... Could I get Agia's INT and STR switched around for that? As I said before, I think the higher STR can serve her better.

Helpful Scripts and Stylesheets here.Right.
As for ability score switching, that would fall under "rebuilding" your character, which I will not allow as it normally is, as opposed to retraining, because it could allow a character to change too drastically. I'll allow a switch between ability scores that have the same modifier, though, once per level.

The liveblog entry was great, as always, and I'll enjoy seeing Seren's take on future events.
Can everyone (or at least five players) make it today? And were we going to attempt to stick to that plan we discussed concerning meet-ups? We should probably get all of these rules written down so I can add them to the OP.

Alright, I talked to him and he's with the idea. 'Thinking of making a Beguiler, after I encouraged him off of the double-shield build, which I'm still not sure if its legality.
Helpful Scripts and Stylesheets here.Well, he can get a very high AC with two shields, but it just seemed... silly to me. Edit: Add spiked and two weapon fighting, and it's damage isn't horrible, but...

Helpful Scripts and Stylesheets here.I admit that that was half the point. Either way, I won't bother with it until I can determine if it has any real viability or not.
I don't know enough about Dn D to say if a super tank is really useful or not.
Anyways, I was thinking of rolling a Beguiler, like Meophist said, but I can't say that I can figure out how one would run in combat. Would I basically be concentrating on blind-siding and flatfooting my enemies so others would be able to put in the real hurt, or is there other viability sitting in there for damage?
I do understand that with Mage Armour, Beguilers can be even more survivable than your average Rogue, especially after a few levels, but I doubt the ability to take hits would be a very good use of my character's abilities.
Oh, and a belated Hi to everyone.
^^ Welcome to TV Tropes forums! I hope you enjoy your stay and the game.
As for what to play . . . a shield-based build would actually come out okay, believe it or not. It'd be pretty good for tanking, and the damage with a spiked shield would still be 1d6 + Str. And a beguiler would mostly be working on using its spells to confound enemies while allies do the actual damage (with the exception of such spells as phantasmal killer and weird at the highest levels). They can incapacitate enemies, but they aren't nearly as good for actual damage output. It has its uses, definitely, but I'll say this, from experience: the shit-ton of spells at your disposal make it kind of tough, sometimes, to figure out what to do next.
Personally, I think we could use another tank, as only one of our seven fixed party members is primarily melee. Having another would mean that 25% of the party is exceptional at melee. But then, we only have one arcane caster, too, and Agia was eventually going to multiclass into gaining some melee ability. But I think we might be in greater need of a melee fighter, since we also have archers. Your call, though, and you can make both characters, put one in, and use the other as a backup character.
^ You mean like the Spellthief class? Sure, go ahead. There are two Daggerspell (I think) prestige classes, though, but since they're prestige . . . yeah.

Typo corrected. I meant "as" an option. But yeah, you can buy a scythe.
