First off, I'm not sure what kind of page image would be better for this, but I'll just throw in a couple random ideas for now.

And here's Oliver from Oliver And Company, with his paws covering the eyes of a big dog.

I was looking for an image of garfield with a crown or saying worship me or something but I couldnt find anything... the description on the page sounds like a perfect image.

[1][2][3] on a lesser idea what about some Egyptian Cat statues since they were worshiped as gods.

EDIT: [4] This?

The garfield one seems to heavily rely on the text, though. I'd be a little more inclined towards something with a visual cue (like a medal) than that.

I definitely like the crown one the best.

The cat with the crown looks kind of goofy, though. At least the one with the medal looks confident, which is probably more fitting to this trope.

Considering there's about 10 options at this point, I'd say there's definitely more than enough for a crowner.

The cat with the elaborate silver crown would make a decent page image, but I happen to find it a little goofy. Why exactly is it better than the one with the crown and cape?

The goofiness just adds to the charm.

I agree; it is also "gesturing", which is funny (and relevant to the trope, it's "Cats are better than humans — and they know it")

The other cats look like they just had the clothes and props put on them; that one looks like he's actually embracing his position as high ruler.

Hmm... I see... well, it's ahead by 7 votes, should I put it up or should we wait?

Well, it is the only image in the green. By far.

Yeah, this is just about the best consensus I've seen on a crowner.

Agree with everybody else - the leading pic is just plain funny. I literally laughed out loud when I clicked on it.

Yep. Serious consensus going on here. It's a good pic. Best of the bunch.

While I'm content to go with the elaborate silver crown one, I'd just like to see others' reasons why that's better than the cat with the gold medal.

EDIT: Also, is it just me, or does anyone else notice the irony (if that's the right word) about how a crowner favoured an image of a cat with a crown?

The crown says "I am regal", the medal says "I won a contest".

You mean "crown and cape?" It's just plain funnier (though "crown and cape" is also amusing.) IMO, a lot of that is how the "crown and cape" cat is obviously posed, while the leader cat is making a natural movement with its paw that just looks imperious.

Same deal with "Kitty Olympics," but it's all about humor, and inherently subjective. All I know is that the leader immediately drew genuine LOL laughter, and none of the others did.

Well, that's one reason, though I'm waiting yet to see if others have other reasons.

Anyway, does anyone know where Raso got the image from? If it's from some website or some movie or something perhaps we could pothole it to this site's article about that.
