Anyone know any humorous covers we could use on the page?

Is the current image broken in any way? If not, don't fix it.

It's a work, we generally go with the logo, which is what that is. Unless I'm mistaken. The only real exception is Webcomics.

Books often get the cover. So do many other works, for that matter. And he's the mascot, not the logo. The logo is somply the word "MAD" in that particular typeface. I'd have no objections to changing it to a cover, if we can find a really good one.

(Also, it's not a magazine cover, but I like this. And this is funny.)

I noticed MAD doesn't have a link to this discussion. How do we fix that?

Can't. The article is in the Magazine namespace, and links from here can only go to the Main namespace. Oh, woah, how did you do that? I thought the forum software always appended "Main." to the beginning of whatever you type.

Can we at least use a classic magazine cover from the 1940s or 50s? I prefer their original artwork over the grungier Hotter and Sexier stuff they use today.

The "Who needs you?" cover is from 1969.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.

As long as it's not like their 90s-Present image when the original artists left, I'll be fine with it. (Bonus Points if it has Spy Vs Spy on it.) That's the only request I ask please.

It was very rare to have SvS on the cover; Alfred would be more iconic anyway.

Didn't MAD have the infamous "buy this magazine or we'll kill this puppy" cover? That's a pretty good example of the Nothing Is Sacred style of their humor.

Current one has the logo and Alfred E. Neumann, that's about as iconic as we can get.

The only thing missing is "What, me worry?" Which is the caption.

For the record, the fora automagically appends a Main namespace only if you don't include one, otherwise it'll follow the one you add. Same as a regular pothole.
