RHCP seem to be going in some psychadela-funk direction, which is... cool, I guess. What I'm really excited for is the possibility of seeing them live.
Watch A Serbian Film. I dare you.Haunted Shores' and Ready, Set, Fall!'s debuts, Textures, Scar damn Symmetry, Mercenary, Axenstar, Deadlock, upcoming E Ps from Between the Buried and Me and Disarmonia Mundi, and who knows The Unguided releases something within 11 months from now. Also curious to listen to what's coming from Xerath and The Project Hate MCreallylongromannumber.
But most of all, DEVIN TOWNSEND. 2011 will be his year for sure, even moreso if he decides to release Z² before 2012.

No regret shall pass over the threshold!Oh my god if that album came out this year I would die from happiness.
"I can't imagine what Hell will have in store, but I know when I'm there, I won't wander anymore."On that note, Matt Death & the New Intellectuals — Death on the Pacific. Please.
HERP A DERP DERP, forgot about the new album from The Mountain Goats, All Eternals Deck, due in March. Awwwwwww jeeaaaah.
Also, new album from everyone's favourite Drone band, Earth, entitled Angels Of Darkness, Demons Of Light 1, and with a front cover that looks like this
◊, i.e. AWESOME.
Man, I always forget how prolific John Darnielle is.
And I've never really been able to get into Earth's music but they always have the best album covers.

Words cast into the uncaring void of the internet.
Yep, and not only is he prolific, but he seems to be able to avoid a drop in quality every time *. Here's hoping he keeps it up for one more!
Ayria's Plastic Makes Perfect. It'll be the first new album she's made since I discovered her.
My tropes launched: https://surenity2.blogspot.com/2021/02/my-tropes-on-tv-tropes.htmlOh, scratch what I've said before (actually no, don't scratch it but well). Mat Bruso and his voice are back to Bury Your Dead and there will be a 2011 release. BRACE FOR EPIC.

No regret shall pass over the threshold! The big one is I Am Very Far by Okkervil River. I seriously can't wait, the new song on Letterman was amazing. I'm also looking forward to All Eternals Deck by The Mountain Goats and The People's Key by Bright Eyes should be cool too. Looking like a good year for folk-rock. Aside from those:
- PJ Harvey - Let England Shake
- R.E.M. - Collapse Into Now
- Lupe Fiasco - Lasers
- Lady Gaga - Born This Way
- Coldplay's new album
- Kanye West & Jay-Z - Watch the Throne
Have I already mentioned the new Jeniferever album? I can't remember and am too tired to check. So I'll just say it, possibly for a second time.

- Steven Wilson/Mikael Akerfeldt - Storm Corrosion
- Mogwai - Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will

"I want to create an omelet that expresses the meaninglessness of existence, and instead they taste like cheese."I'm really looking forward to the currently unnamed Nightwish album that's coming out.
I am also looking forward to The Unforgiving.
"The world ends with you. If you want to enjoy life, expand your world. You gotta push your horizons out as far as they'll go."- Accordo dei Contrari: Kublai

apparently there’s plans for a new Roxy Music album in 2011 but I’m not expecting much. Probably just another glorified Bryan Ferry solo album. Having Eno or Eddie Jobson involved would be cool but I’m not holding my breath (especially not for the latter).

It looks like The Beach Boys are lining up for an official SMiLE release. Maybe we'll get the sessions with Paul McCartney in them.

"Wax on, wax off..." "But Mr. Miyagi, I don't see how this is helping me do Karate..." "Pubic hair is weakness, Daniel-san!"Born This Way - Lady Gaga
The Lonely Island's upcoming album (they haven't given a title yet, but I like the two songs they've released as always)
Mumford and Sons next album. It may not come this year, but Marcus mentioned that they really wanted to get back in the studio and record another one as soon as possible. So, fingers crossed!
We're going to spread this shit like Nutella.Didn't know about the possibility of new TMBG or Kyuss, that's pretty cool.
I've heard the new R.E.M. single ("Mine Smell Like Honey") and didn't think much of it, but we will see. "Me, Marlon Brando, Marlon Brando and I" is an interesting song title though, I wonder if it's supposed to be a Neil Young Shout-Out and/or takeoff (You know, because "Pocahontas" ends with the line "Marlon Brando, Pocahontas and me").
There's supposed to be a new Dead Milkmen album called The King In Yellow this year, I'm sort of crossing my fingers that it'll be good despite the absence of the late Dave Blood and the fact that the last couple albums they made before they broke up weren't so hot.

If you listen to the new Dead Milkmen album you go insane.

I'm also looking forward to the new Red Hot Chili Peppers and Beastie Boys albums.
