I don't think you were racist, I was just making sure you knew because you mentioned the UK and then linked to Violent Glaswegian as though it was unrelated. Sorry for nitpicking.

How bout the Kanye dream? Seems much like the American dream. In the Kanye dream you; have as many precious stones on you as humanly possible (his diamond teeth), bling/have something with your face on it (his gold watch), raise an issue of awareness, own some fastfood restaurants (they failed), start your own fashion line line (his shoes lineup flopped), make something fashionable (shade glasses), become an internet meme (or several), complain about things because you paid for it and therefore victory should be yours (Europe VM As), bash the president, date a bunch of hoes, have indecent pictures on the internet, get something of yours banned (album cover), spell improperly, sell a lot of something, get onto influential lists and get rated amongs the most richest and powerful, where something that glows (his outfit when he was preforming live with Daft Punk, be responisble for the success of others, do something for the art and ofcourse state your opinions when and where ever you feel like.

I've probably missed quite a few and that's probably a lot for guys. For women it might be lil different, maybe more like Lady Gaga.

I'm sorry Shinfer I don't know what you mean.

[up]The character from the Simpsons featured in the page image for Violent Glawegian is Scottish (we've seen him in a kilt) and a redhead. This is incongruent, so is the stereotype.

Oh, aye, he's a very stereotypical Scot. Not sure what Ireland has to do with this, but I know that we lump both stereotypes together into one trope here.

"Many pages back someone expressed surprise that Americans don't like hierarchies."

This may be the claim, but it's not the reality. You guys adore them.

Stereotype for Irish is lots of redheads. I hear it's about 5-6% of the people but the type sticks.

@sandor: We adore celebrities but hierarchies.

Well he's talking about WWII when the Chinese bomb pearl harbor and they commuted suicide by running their planes into the ship.
