Jen wins this round, although props to you all for finally narrowing it down. It is, indeed, Kesenai Tsumi from Fullmetal Alchemist - the first anime.

The two key hints were:

• this anime does not have a case of Abstract Apotheosis.
• Strictly speaking, this anime has nothing to do with pandas.

Spoilers for the FMA franchise below.

Of course, in the manga and Brotherhood, the Xing cast turns up complete with panda, and the homunculi are manifestations of Father's sins. Neither of these are actually present in the first anime adaptation, and hence I had to reword the hints accordingly.

The objection to White-Haired Pretty Boy was that Scar, while white-haired, looks a little too rugged to qualify for "pretty boy" status.

And, of course, the inevitable Bilingual Bonus, which you should've been expecting by now - Unforgivable Sinner - Indelible / Unfading / Inerasable Sin. By the way, it's "indelible" and not "inedible", even though Father does end up devouring Greed in the manga, but the idea was there.

Seriously, I thought it'd end quickly because I expected somebody to pick up on the wordplay. (The anime's not even that obscure.) And in the end this went on for 78 hints.

Of course, it would've been a little faster if a certain someone didn't start throwing in Shoujo manga into the mix...
