Has this series or multiple series been dubbed into English?
Is it a Long Runner?
Was this adapted from a manga?
The series, or the multiple series (Which could it be?!?) has been dubbed into English.
It is not a long runner Dun Nuuuuuuuun
It was adapted from a manga, but the manga itself was adapted.

Is the OP in Japanese?
Follow me on tumblr! The OP is indeed in Japanese.
Has this series been broadcasted on American television?
Was the manga published in Shonen Jump?
Is it from (some incarnation of) Slayers?
I guess it is.I don't think it's broadcast if it's only on cable. Alternatively: Yes it was, but in a very misleading way that you probably never heard about.
I do not believe it was published in Shounen jump.
^To quote Lina Inverse, "Pin Pon."
Give us the answer!
Oh crap, technically Slayers is considered a Long Runner, but I figured it shouldn't because of the 20 something years of publication, it really hasn't had thaaaaat much content due to the years of relative dead space, but it's on the Long Runners page. Didn't think about the novels though. Ahh well.

Is it "Front Breaking"?
I guess it is.... You have failed me Nyktos. You have failed me.
Is it "Get Along"?
Follow me on tumblr!Hell if I know anything about Slayers. I just went with the newest one because I got the impression from your "technically recent" clue that it was from the latest season of a longer series.
Is it "Get Along"?
Edit: Fucking ninjas, how do they work? Is it "Give a Reason"?

I guess it is.When the hell was there a mech in Slayers? And if you bring up Lost Universe, you're getting thumped with a codfish.
I don't know. Never tried Slayers.
Follow me on tumblr!... Tomu, you still there?
Follow me on tumblr!I think I killed him by guessing a song from a version of Slayers he finds inferior.
I guess it is.Nvm
Give a Reason was correct. Be glad for ninjas :P
That's all the reasoning you really needed to use ;D
Oh crap, technically, the song had an english version didn't it? Oh well, I'm pretty sure they used a different name for that...

I guess it is.You Younguns don't know what you're missin. Slayers was my LIFEBLOOD back in the 90s!
Round...27?
The song is from a series that was adapted from a manga.
I guess it is.Man, such non-unique hints!
Did the anime eventually overtake the manga or otherwise abandon the plot or go in a really weird direction?

Is it seinen?
Has the anime been dubbed into English in the United States?
Has it been broadcasted on it's original run within the 2000's(2000-2010)?

The series is shounen.
The anime is a mostly-faithful adaptation of the manga.
An American dub of the anime exists.
The anime's original run was during the 2000s.

I guess it is.
Not even close.
REHASH
You'll need to use all your reason.
It cannot be said that it aired within the last two years, but it cannot be said that it has not. Take this for what you will.
It's not God Knows, it's not Super Driver.
It isn't a series about a detective, though it sort of kind of involves one at one point.
The protagonist ain't no paladin.
It is shounen.
The series is not a mecha series, though it could be argued that there's at least one mecha in the series over the course of the entire series' run.
