• The use of colored text is just for fun and a tactic. If you dismiss observing the color of the text you are reading you will read a statement that is positive. Also a second hint since I just found out that the first one can have double meanings:

As previous posts have shown, I dedicate a disproportionate amount of brain power to this game. *sigh*. Speaking of which, let's see if I can make life a little harder...

Straw poll: If I instituted a variant rule eliminating Genre questions (in addition to the usual "no air dates / series length" and "trope-only" variants), would it make the game too difficult?

I think recognizing genres is a key point of the game. The reason we say "No air dates" is because we're not trying to build an encyclopedic knowledge of what aired when, we're trying to introduce a familiarity with anime as a whole.

True, true. Oh well, time to put the next stage of my (ill-conceived) plan into action!

I meant things like if they are from the same franchise or if they are animated by the same studio or if a seiyuu is part of both shows, or if they have similiarities on its plots, or stuff like that. In other words if they have something noticible in common and that doesn't require too much steps to connect one with the other.

Guys, remember that variant rules are in play. While I guess Genre questions are okay (on hindsight), asking for a particular series / franchise is probably a little too close. I'm going by Grain's rule of thumb here.

Also, please try to specify if you're referring to Song 1, Song 2, or both. Vague questions get vague answers.
