Steven's eyes widened as the sentient marshmallow crossed his rudimentary circle. "YOU FOOL!" He shouted, but he damage was already done. the circle was broken, and with it, the magic that held the spirits under Steven's control. To make it even better, the excessive magic poured into the ghosts, giving them enough energy to assume fully humanoid transclucent forms as they shrieked and flew out of the now broken circle. Some of them shot towards Kirby, restraining the pink puffball with weak, but determined hands. One latched on to Steven, while a handfull flew towards anyone else nearby, grasping with semi-material hands.

Liveblog | DeadblogEthena struggled against the ghosts's grip. "I... thought... they would not... escape..." she tried to say while choking. She desperately reached for a scroll. "Manipulation of Wind!" she hoarsely tried to yell. A gust of wind blew the spirits away from them, far away. "At least they're corporeal, so they could be blown by wind. Now, can we fix this mess?"

I cast Magic Missile!Ethena quickly turned to Anne and her ghosts. "Manipulation of Wind!" she said, blowing the spirits away into the elevator. "Let's see if I can get all the spirits into the elevator, then I can send them to a different floor." She then created a gust to blow Kirby's spirits into the elevator also.

I cast Magic Missile!Whatever the ghosts had meant to do to Nomad, the nanosuit seemed enough to protect him from their weak hands. At least, enough until it finally rebooted.
Maximum strength
The suit said again, now that it had reset to the last mode that was on. It began to glow red again as Nomad stood up grabbing the ghosts. It's like trying to grab hold of thick pudding he thought, since the ghosts seemed not entirely corporeal. Still, using strength mode, he tried to help by grabbing them and throwing them forcefully into the elevator.
You are reading this.Steven grumbled, this day kept getting better. With his gloved hand, he punched the ghost clinging on to him, and it reeled back, he thanked his lucky stars that his ghost wrangling glove allowed him to touch the spooks. "Begone. For" He said, pushing the ghost away with his will. The ghost had no particular stake in this world, so it produced only symbolic opposition as he banished it, causing it's semi-corporeal form back into the clear gelatinous mess that it was created from and it's spirit to fly away to God Knows Where.

Liveblog | DeadblogEthena, as she pushed more ghosts into the elevator, started to falter. After all, Manipulation of Wind required physical strength if you wanted to create strong winds, and she was no bodybuilder. Distracted by the onslaught of ghosts coming towards her, she failed to notice two coming behind her. The started to take her away.
"Mmf! Agh! Guys, help me!" she frantically tried to yell.
I cast Magic Missile!Nomad ran over, sending a mostly ineffective punch at one of the ghosts, before simply grabbing Ethena's arm, still in strength mode. He made sure the grip was secure, but not too tight to start hurting her, and just... Hung on, trying to overpower the ghosts with the enhanced strength so they couldn't drag her anywhere.
You are reading this."Wow! Thanks guys! I'm not used to doing this stuff, really... I've just lived in my village, solving problems with my spells and stuff." Ethena said. It seemed as long as she was stuck here, she would need to learn to fight more effectively. Just blowing everything down with wind wasn't effective at all.
I cast Magic Missile!"Oh no you don't" Nomad said, grabbing one of Anne's arms with his other hand. Standing there essentially doing tug of war with a couple of ghosts over a couple girls who he just met, Nomad realised something. This is perhaps the most ridiculous scenario I have ever gotten into in my entire life he thought.
He sighed with partial relief and partial frustration as the ghosts were blown into the elevator again. "Alright, time to send these things off."
Maximum speed
The nanosuit started glowing yellow, and Nomad started moving much faster than normal. Using this speed, he rushed into the elevator doorway, pressed the 'one' button then rushed back out of the elevator as it closed and went down, the ghosts still in it.
You are reading this.Anne sat down for a moment to catch her breath.
"I guess I owe all of you an apology. That will teach me to stick my hands into strange places. I certainly hope we do not come across any more of that blue stuff. It was very much like the parasites. It felt horrible. I tried to resist it, but..."
Anne trailed off, an uneasy expression on her face as she stared at the floor.

Steven sighed in relief as the elevator disappeared. Just to be sure, he stepped around the spot where the elevator had been, drawing a circle which he stepped out of and willed shut, even if they escaped the elevator, there'd be no crossing that circle, not for a ghost anyway. By the time he was finished, he was starting tiredness to set in, and with it a way too familiar emotion, anger.

"I said without the electric hat!" Ethena bellowed. "Come on, take the electric hat off."
