Seriously.

At one one point there was actually supposed to be a Batman animated series with all the characters a high school students called Gotham High

This sounds.......interesting......

I can only imagine the fan reactions that would have happened if this show was made.

I'll admit I'm having a Perverse Sexual Lust for Cheerleader!Poison Ivy though. smile

[up] Eh, outside of Return of the Joker, I admit I would have liked this more, if only because it's a Batman high school comedy.

...You may have inspired me to write fanfic for a show that doesn't exist. Thanks. [lol]

Not a big fan of teenage aimed cartoons, but those designs were cool. I am curious to where they would have gone with this.

Was the principal going to be Hugo Strange? :hmm

Or at least guidance counseler.

I'm not gonna lie, from that picture the only thing I can say is I'm very, very glad this was never made.

Looking at it makes me sad that they didn't have Harley as the school counsellor.

Maybe they planned on having her be the studious overachiever who volunteered to tutor Teen! Joker in something, only to fall for him and join him in some mischievous destruction.

I'm not even going to lie, the concept of having supervillains, particularly Batman's supervillains, in high school without them immediately getting the can, particularly Joker, makes me wonder how this was supposed to work.

Other shows have had students become villains, but usually they stop being students afterwards (not counting the one or two second chances they might get) and most kid superheroes are spread out to a city, not just a school.

Maybe it was going to be something like Fillmore, but Fillmore noticeably didn't have many recurring villains.

Who knows how good it would have been. But it's a bit of a shame it never saw the light of day, it's an interesting concept and the art looked rather good.

I must say that's one darn fine lookin' Selina Kyle.

Two-Face, however, looks horribly lame.

Well, obviously they wouldn't be pulling regular supervillain antics— murder, robbery, mass destruction of property and inducing mass insanity would probably be kept to a minimum. As for kicking them out for general deliquency... Maybe the school could have been a private school whose principle goes by the, "If they keep paying, I'll keep turning the other cheek" mentality. Geez, I'm fan wanking a show that doesn't even exist. :P

I find this idea hilarious. So many ways to play with the Batman cast! Lockup as the detention supervisor! KGBeast as the foreign exchange student! Ventroliquist, Scarface, and Film Freak joining forces with Clayface in the name of "high art"! Anarky butting heads with Harvey Dent, Killer Moth as Batgirl's stalker with a crush, the Robins as frosh (Tim), sophmore (Jason), and junior (Dick) to Bruce's senior, and a romance with Talia al Ghul, the principle's daughter.

It really couldn't be taken seriously, at all, but there's a bigger problem: Where's Batman? How do you introduce a masked vigilante into a school? Would Bruce be foiling the villains sans mask, like Clark in Smallville?

A shame we never could have a Teen Emo!Zsasz who cuts himself.

It would've been cool if it were like Fillmore and not taken itself too seriously. You know Bruce and Babs would constantly patrol the halls. Bruse is still a bit of a rich asshole but he has a strong sense of JUSTICE. And justice means that he constantly cuts class because he has to follow a lead on who stole the school fundraiser money. Selina would be the school klepto and keeps all the stuff she's stolen in her locker.

Poison Ivy would be The Libby who cares more about plants than people and only ran for school president to get a vegan lunch menu. The Joker would be the Jerkass class clown, who's constantly screws with Bruce, and has a somewhat abusive relationship with Harley. Dent would be that kid who contantly brings up politics and is in the Young Republicans club or whatever. And Dick Grayson could be some middle-schooler who lives near Bruce and always follows him around after school.

The episodes could be based on classic Batman issues but re-worked for a high school setting.

I mean... S-stupid Gotham High, it's not like I w-want to write a fanfic about you or anything. I don't even like you.

It's a shame Batman The Brave And The Bold is cancelled this season. They might have taken this as an Alternate Universe Batman can visit in one episode and Hilarity Ensues.

Tell me it wouldn't have been great.
