if you wanna make a great sonic game, make it in the same vein of Shadow Of The Colossus. every robot should be the size of a skyscraper, and your mission as sonic should be to wreck the fuck out of them. have some countryside where you can really let loose with sonic's speed, and include some of that in the fighting. you should be able to do the ball thing where you just blow straight through them for damage, and dont make it a cutscene either. make that your regular attack, and only let it scale upwards from there.
i think the older games were good because the drama heavy bits scaled upwards rather quickly. it took itself seriously.
edit: at least, in the final chapters they did T_T

I added that in because i thought the first paragraph would incite too much hate, so i thought i would say something positive. too much? yeah i liked the older games. I think trying to make the new games in the same vein as the older ones is abit too much to pull off.

Add me on skype! Dynamod1990It would be really cool if in Sonic games the bosses actually were the levels. Like, they were these huge robots and to kill them you had to go inside the and speed through their innards.
Words cast into the uncaring void of the internet.I still think it'd be cool if a game's final level was secretly a Colossus Climb. You reach the top, confront Eggman, and— -rumble-

Hey, I was just wondering: do anyone else like the final battle with Eggman's Nega-Wisp Armor? Sure, the battle was a bit on the easy side, and the mech itself could've benefitted from using all the Wisp powers instead of just three, but it's still pretty epic in its own right. It doesn't hurt that it's the first time in a 3D Sonic title where Eggman's actually the final boss instead of some godlike demon that turns on him, nor that it's actually fought as regular Sonic instead of his Super Form.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows. It's still pretty epic. Only a few things.
First, they really should've played Final Boss Part 2 for the entire battle instead of just the second half.
Second, he should've used all the wisp powers, as previously mentioned.
But otherwise, the boss is awesome, and especially the final hit is awesome. UNLIMITED COLORS!
One of my few regrets about being born female is the inability to grow a handlebar mustache. -LandstanderIt's a great final battle, but I think it could've been improved if it played Final Boss Part 1 for the whole battle...and reserved Part 2 for a hidden phase that only unlocks with all the Chaos Emeralds. The return of Doomsday Zone, anyone?
(Yeah, getting all the Chaos Emeralds is a lot more time-consuming than pretty much every other Sonic game, but just an extra, right?)
The blind man walking off the cliff is not making a leap of faith.Wow, I must suck so hard at games. I found the final boss, while worthy of a game long overdue for breaking the Polygon Ceiling, is SERIOSLY FREAKING HARD.
Overall though, I have to say that while I liked Sonic Adventure two (my first sonic game), I ADORE Sonic Colors. Besides, in my opinion, being more like Super Mario Galaxy is always a good thing in my opinion.
I have to say though,Dynamod, the Sonic-if-it-was-shadow-of-the-colouss-idea sounds freaking sweet. Particularly if it also had some elements of an incredibly fast version of Assassin’s creed’s Parkor, and uses rail-based sections as a means of traveling between giant robots.

Man, I really want to pick up this game. Unfortunately, I am a college student with no money. Oh well. Maybe for my birthday.
Reaction Image RepositoryWow, over a year.
I remember suggesting that in one of the Video Games forum threads. You beat up the eldritch creepy Eggman was trying to enslave, he swoops in and takes control of it while you have it subdued, the last level is scaling the ambulatory base while it's stomping toward the city and your friends are trying to sabotage and shell it from the outside, and the last boss is fighting both Eggman and the enslaved Lovecraftian terror in the thing's core.
