Thanks to Roger Ebert for pointing this out.

Nowadays the Batmobile looks completely different pretty much every time it appears. I can't really say which of the designs is my favorite, because there's just so many of them.

For me, "The" Batmobile will always be the Barris version. Some of the others are simply too weird, some destroy my willing suspension of disbelief by causing a reaction of "Did the guy who drew this think about the mechanics of a car at all?" and some are too mundane.

The Batman The Animated Series first version (before TNBA) is the definite Batmobile.

My favourite is the Tim Burton one. It looks bloody cool, and I think I still have a toy of it lying around somewhere.

How the heck does the TAS Batmobile turn?

[up] IIRC the same way the Burton version did, although it seldom was shown.

I like Christopher Nolan's "Tumbler" Batmobile. It's fast, manueverable, powerful, and can go pretty much anywhere.

The 1992 one with Batman's head on the front looks very... phallic. I'm so glad my co-workers are all gone so they can't see my tears of laughter and come over to investigate.

You just know in the next film he's gone to get a more traditional-looking Batmobile.

It's not over. Not yet.

It's a shame. Unless it can do everything the Tumbler did without being a tank...

Its missing one: Batman Beyond. That probably has the best batmobile.

That one cheats by flying as well.

I'm going with the first BTAS one, as well, although I am very partial to the Tumbler.

I've always thought the Tumbler was too bulky and shapeless. More like a "Bat-Lump" than a Batmobile.

The one I really like was the one seen (all too briefly sad in the movie version of "Under the Red Hood." It was a nice, harmonious midpoint between the Nolan, Burton, and TAS versions.

The Batman had two Batmobile. The original and the "EXP". Only the EXP is pictured.

I love it whenever they show the Batmobile garage. They showed it in Hush, and again in Heart Of Hush. It was glorious.

Just like the first comment on that page says: Where is the Batmobile from Frank Millar's The Dark Knight Returns? That thing was the most monstrous version I've ever seen.

Oh god, the Batmobile from JUSTICE. Is that not the most beautiful, most glorious thing you've ever seen? And painted by Alex Ross too.

Theres sex and death and human grime in monochrome for one thin dime and at least the trains all run on time but they dont go anywhere.

I also consider the Burton version to be the best, it have a cool and strong design, looks very imposing and it's armor shell made it to look even more Badass. I call 2nd place on Batman TAS first Batmobile, it also have a powerfull appearance and looked fantastic on persecution scenes, i only liked the Burton version more because of it's "realistic supercar" appearance and nostalgia xD.

The worst Batmobile to me is that ugly one from Batman Forever, it looked like it could fall appart at any moment with that frail appearance.
